MWR qp1

This document contains 5 questions related to microwave and radar technology. It asks the reader to: 1) Derive expressions for voltage, current, reflection coefficient, and transmission coefficient on a transmission line. 2) Derive equations for propagation constant, attenuation constant, phase constant, characteristic impedance, and phase velocity of a microwave transmission line. It also asks about standing waves and standing wave ratio. 3) Derive an expression for line impedance and explain applications of the Smith chart, using it to solve a transmission line problem. 4) Define a distortionless line and use properties of transmission and reflection coefficients to solve for an unknown load impedance. 5) Show that a line's input impedance
