OSS Account Registration

OSS Overview

RADWIN OSS provides a set of cloud base tools that support all operational aspects of the network
lifecycle, addressing everything from radio planning, network deployment, unit installations, service
commissioning and network management and maintenance.

OSS Tools

WINPlan is a Network Radio planning tool for SUB 6 and TVWS networks.

WINDeploy is a deployment management tool that helps to manage efficiently the mass
deployment of subscriber units.

WINTouch is a subscriber unit installation application.

WINManage is a Network Management System that enables to manage and monitor online network
devices.

Creating OSS account

To use the OSS tools, you need to register to RADWIN OSS and create an OSS company account.

1. Go to RADWIN web site > Products > OSS tools.

2. Click on Create OSS account button.

3. The registration form will be opened. Fill the form using the following guidelines:

• Use only your company domain and not any free email account, such as gmail, yahoo,
etc.
• Registration is opened to only one user per company
o This user will be defined as an admin and will have the permission to add more
users from your company to this account
o If your company already has an OSS account, you will get a notification message
• Fill in the registration form, confirm being the only one account admin in your company
and press on Create Account button

• The system will verify your email address to sign you in to RADWIN Web Services

4. You will receive a confirmation email from RADWIN web services.

• Click Confirm Email button to confirm your email address

• The system will start a process of creating the account


• After few seconds you will see a message that your new RWS account was created

5. You will receive an e-mail with your username and temporary password.

6. Go back to the OSS Tools page and press the Login to your OSS account button.

7. Enter your username and your temporary password.

• You will be requested to change the password


• Set a new password and click the Send button

8. After your password is confirmed, you can login into your new Account and have access to
the OSS as an Admin.

Adding a new user role

You can add additional users to your company OSS account and define their role. Users and roles
management is done via account settings.

1. On the OSS welcome page, click the Account Users Settings button

2. The Account Users window will be opened. To add a new user role or update the existing
roles, click the Roles button.

• User role defines a set of RWS permissions


• These permissions consist of certain actions that the user can carry out
• The permissions are defined separately for each of the services - WINPlan, WINDeploy,
WINTouch
• By default, there are two roles: Administrator and Management
o Administrator’s role has a full account permissions and cannot be modified
o Management’s role can be modified

3. To create a new role, press the Add Role button. Define the following parameters:

• Role name
• Role description
• User management permissions:
o Defines who can view, create, delete and edit Roles and who can view, create,
delete and edit users
• WINPlan permissions:
o Defines who can view, create, edit and run Actions on WINPlan
• WINDeploy & WINTouch permissions:
o Defines who can view, create, edit and run actions on WINDeploy and WINTouch

In the following example we created a role that enables the user to view, create, delete, edit and run
any action in WINPlan, while this role does not provide permissions to add or do any modification in
the user management system and does not provide the access to WINDeploy and WINTouch
applications.

4. After finishing defining all the user role parameters, press the Save button.

5. After saving, the new role is added to the roles list.

Adding a new user

1. To add a new user, press the Users button and then Add User.

2. Fill the details of the new user, define his role and click Save.

• Note that email address of the new user must belong to your account's mail domain
• You will get a message “User was added successfully”. Click Ok to close the window

3. The new user now appears in the Account Users list.

• Once added, the new user will receive an e-mail with his username and password. When
the user will login to the OSS account for the first time, he will be asked to change his
password
• After login to the OSS account, the user can access to the OSS applications or account
setting according to his permissions

Feedback

Every page of your OSS account has a Feedback button on the right side of the screen. The Feedback
enables you to contact the RADWIN’s team.

If you encounter a problem, you can “Open Support Case”, describe your problem and in the label
tab select your region and RADWIN support team will contact you.

You also have the option to ask for a feature request or to contact our product manager.
