20-24 inches long by 15 inches deep. It is the
individual’s place at the table.

The flatware, napkin, and plate for each cover

are placed as though they belong together,
about 1 inch from the edge of the table. The
plate forms the center, with the spoon and the
knife on the right and the fork on the left. The
cutting edge of the knife should face the plate.
The bowl of the spoon and the tines of the fork
are up.

Understood class? Yes, ma’am.

Kindly read the next one. Flatware is placed in the order of use. Pieces
that are used first go on the outside and those
that are used last are placed nearest the plate.
The word flatware refers to the implements you
use for eating or serving food. When you set
the table with spoons, forks, and knives, you
grab the flatware from the drawer.

mouth, and they also can be used as a
protection for clothing while eating.

Only the flatware that will be needed for the

meal should be placed on the table. If the menu

center of the individual table setting, with the
napkin and fork on the left and the other
silverware on the right. To the upper left of the
plate is the juice glass, while the cup and saucer
go on the upper right.

setting a table for breakfast doesn't mean

spending a lot of money on fancy bone china or
designer dishes, but it does mean setting your
own dishes out in the nicest way possible. Most
breakfast place settings include a cup and
saucer for hot drinks, a juice glass for cold
drinks, silverware, salad-size plate for toast or
muffin, and a bowl for hot or cold cereal. Each
person should have a salad-size fork, butter
knife and two spoons a larger one for
consuming cereal and a smaller one for stirring
the hot drink.

2. lunch setting

The luncheon fork and napkin are to the left of

the dish. A plate, a soup bowl, or both are in
the center. Knife and soup spoon should be to
the right of the dish(es) with the teaspoon
directly above the dish. The tumbler and wine
glass are above the knife & spoon. Bread plate
and spreader should be above the napkin on
the left.

In lunch setting class where did you put the

plate and a soup bowl again?
At the center ma’am.
Very Good!

Kindly read the third

one class dinner setting. 3. Dinner setting set up Lay out a place mat, if
