The switching sensitivity can be modified and

adapted to the density of the product with
potentiometer (5). This is necessary so that the
level switch can reliably detect extremely
liquid or heavy products. Turn the
potentiometer anticlockwise to set the vibrat-

experience a modification of the factory setting
is only necessary with very light products.

When build-up can occur, it may be necessary

to turn the potentiometer clockwise to improve
oscillation.

Fault monitoring
The signal conditioning instrument monitors
the measuring system permanently. The follow-
ing criteria are checked:
- Two-wire line on line break or shortcircuit

Test switch
VEGATOR has an integral test switch which
checks the output and the parts of the signal
conditioning instrument. The following criteria
are checked with the test:
- Switching function of the switching outputs
- Switching function of the fail safe outputs
- Parts of the signal processing of the signal
conditioning instrument.

As long as the test switch is pressed, the

output relay de-energizes and the transistor
blocks. Note that the connected instruments
are activated during the test.
