With the newly developed algorithm installed in the IBA Dark Bright
processor, the brightness is automatically adjusted to
the optimum level in an instant. Additionally, our unique
methods enable high-speed automatic adjustment without
any adverse effects from the background. By dividing the screen into multiple Instead of gradually moving towards the optimum brightness,

Glare from glossy surfaces is reduced because only one direction of the
light wave can pass through. The compact size enables easy installation.

Stable Detection
■ Shape Detection
The match percentage of the object is
calculated based on the shape of the
registered master image. Brightness
differences or differences in individual
surface conditions, which were previously
difficult to handle with normalized
correlation methods (pattern matching),
can now be distinguished.
PASS FAIL
Model type detection by internal diameter difference of
metal part
■ Area
Using the registered master area
(number of pixels) as reference, the
difference in area from the inspection
object is calculated. When using a color
model, judgment can be made based
on the specified color. When using a
monochrome model, brightness is judged
by the area binarized in black and white.
PASS FAIL
Detection by cable color difference

Enhanced Utilities
Software for IV Series, IV-H1 The IV Series can be set up with an intelligent monitor (IV-M30) or a PC. Setup procedures are
easy to understand and can quickly be set up by first time users.
IV-Navigator
Image is large
and easy to
see
This function allows you to check and modify program configurations Run the simulation OK/NG count
and perform simulations based on the image history without needing to
connect to the sensor. This allows for easy determination of the optimal
thresholds while looking at the detection result statistics and histograms,
even when you are away from the actual worksite.
Simulator
The IV Series can be set up and monitored via Ethernet. Naturally, remote setup
procedures are just as easy as normal operations. (Can be performed on a PC
or an IV-M30 intelligent monitor.)
PC
■ Statistics Function
Statistical data of the detection results can be
displayed, and the results can be checked
even during operation.
(Can be viewed on a PC or an IV-M30 intelligent
monitor.)

Useful functions that suit the operating environment
■ Logic Function
Output conditions can be specified using results from multiple tools with AND, OR, and inversion logic. The output can be
changed according to the situation. For example, you might use the OK output to check for products, while the NG output could
be used to eliminate defective products.
The sensors themselves offer a versatile setup, which allows for easy installation in existing systems with or without PLCs.
