L 8 Sonometer I: Law of length

You are given five tuning forks of known frequencies. Keeping tension constant determine
the length of the wire vibrating in unison with each tuning fork. Hence verify the law of
length (nl= constant)

S 9 Meter bridge
You are given two resistances X, and X2
Using Wheatstone's bridge find the null point for series combination of the two resistances
before and after interchanging. Verify the law of resistances in series.
Given: a) Resistance of first wire X1= --------
b) Resistance of second wire X2= ---------

A 9 LDR
Take six different readings for resistance(R) against distance (d).Draw the conclusion.

L 9 Sonometer I: law of length


You are given four tuning forks of known frequencies. Keeping tension constant determine
length of wire vibrating in unison with each tuning fork.
Also determine the vibrating length of same wire for the same tension for unknown frequency
of tuning fork. Hence determine the unknown frequency.

S ll Kelvin's method
Determine the resistance of the galvanometer ( G) by Kelvin's method. Take three independent
sets of reading.

A 10 Variation of Potential Drop:


Take two different readings for voltage(V) against length (l).Calculate potential gradient.

L 12 Sonometer : Law of tension


A tuning fork of known frequency is given to you. Using sonometer determine the length (L)
of the wire vibrating in unison with given tuning fork for four different known tensions (T)
and one unknown tension.Plot a graph of L2 against T. Hence determine unknown tension.
Also draw the conclusion from the graph.

S10 Meter bridge


You are given two resistances X1 and X2
Using Wheatstone's bridge find the null point for parallel combination of the two resistances
before and after interchanging. Verify the law of resistances in parallel.
Given: a) Resistance of first wire= X1 = -------- 
b) Resistance of second wire = X2 = ---------

Take six different readings for resistance(R) against distance (d).Draw the conclusion.
L 11 Sonometer II : Law of tension
Determine the unknown frequency of the given tuning fork using a sonometer. Take five
different readings by changing tension.

With assigned component connect the circuit diagram. Get circuit checked by the examiner.

Measure the values of given resistors and capacitors by using multimeter.

L 15 Resonance tube
You are given four tuning forks of known frequencies and one of unknown frequency.
Determine correct length (L) of air column vibrating in unison with each tuning fork. Plot a
graph of frequency (n) against reciprocal of correct length of air column (1/L ). Hence find the
velocity of sound in air at room temperature.

S18: Current sensitivity


You are provided with a working circuit diagram for measurement of current sensitivity of
galvanometer. Take two observation of deflection (  ) against current ( I ) passed through
galvanometer.
Using formula calculate current sensitivity of galv in div per ampere.

A 8 Use Of Multimeter.
Measure the values of given resistors and capacitors by using multimeter.

L 18 Current sensitivity of table galvanometer
Measure the deflection in the table galvanometer for five different values of current flowing
through it. Hence determine the current sensitivity(S) of the given table galvanometer.

S5: Sonometer I
You are given a tuning fork of unknown frequency. For suitable tension determine the length
of the wire vibrating in unison with the given tuning fork. Using the given value of nl,
determine the value of the unknown frequency. Given nl= ........... Hz cm .

A11: Resonance Tube


Find the end correction of given tube using verneir callipers.
Draw diagram of setup of resonance tube. Write the formula for velocity of sound used in this expt.

L 20 Meter bridge
Using Wheatstone's bridge find the null point for each resistance X1 and X2.
Hence determine values of X1 and X2.
Connect the resistances in series combination. Using Wheatstone's bridge find null point.
Take three independent readings. Hence verify law of resistances in series .

S 7 Resonance tube
You are given three tuning forks of known frequencies. Determine length (1) of air column
vibrating in unison with each tuning fork. Hence find the velocity of sound in air at room
temperature. Neglect end correction.

A2 Simple Pendulum
For two different lengths of the (80 ,100 cm) of simple pendulum, find the periodic time
T for 20 oscillations Hence find the length of second's pendulum.
Radius of bob= 1 cm .

L 22 Meter bridge (Low of resistances)


You are given two resistances X1 and X2.
Connect the two resistances in parallel combination using Wheatstone's bridge. Take three
independent readings for null point. Connect the two resistances in Series combination using
Wheatstone's bridge. Take three independent readings for null point.
Hence determine values of X1 and X2.

S 6 Sonometer II
You are given a tuning fork of known frequency. Using sonometer determine the length (1)
of the wire vibrating in unison with given tuning fork for unknown tension. Using the given
value of T/ l2, determine the value of the unknown tension.
