Title:
LEVEL OF AWARENESS OF AND COMPLIANCE TO SCHOOL POLICY XYZ IN
EASTERN SAMAR NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL

Objectives of the Study

The study aims to explore the level of awareness of and compliance to School Policy XYZ
among students in ESNCHS.
Specifically, the study will be driven by the following objectives.
1. To determine the profile of ESNCHS students, in terms of:
1.1 Age
1.2 Sex
1.3 Course taking up and current year level
1.4 Organization membership
2. To identify the level of awareness to the School Policy XYZ among the
respondents.
3. To assess the degree of compliance to School Policy XYZ among the
respondents.
4. To gauge if there is a significant relationship between the level of awareness and
the degree of compliance to School Policy XYZ among the respondents.
5. To investigate if there is a significant relationship between the profile of the
respondents and their level of awareness and degree of compliance to School
Policy XYZ.

METHODOLOGY

Research Design

6. (Suggest a research design based on the set of objectives of the study. Justify

why such design would be applicable to the nature of the study. 10 pts)

Locale of the Study

(Where is the research locale based on study. 2 pts)

Respondents of the Study

(Who will be the respondents based on study. 2 pts)

Sampling Procedure

Selection of target respondents will employ a stratified sampling technique.

(Discuss how to go about with the given sampling technique. You base your
discussion on the following data: 20pts)
College Curricular Offerings Total no. of Sample
Students
Education Elementary Educ. 560
Secondary Educ. 370
Bus. Mgt. & Business Administration 489
Accountancy Accountancy 67
HRRM 399
Tourism 410
Arts and Sciences Biology 116
Political Science 88
Criminal Justice & Law 252
Communication 99
Agriculture & Natural Fisheries 78
Sciences Environmental Science 86
Agriculture 78
Engineering Civil Engineering 125
Computer Engineering 119
Electrical Engineering 145
Computer Studies Information Technology 230
Computer Science 189
Vocational Technology ACS 88
Electrical Technology 99
Nursing Nursing 57
Total 4144

Based on the sampling procedure the study will employ stratified sampling

technique wherein the total population will first be divided into strata. These stratification

of population represents the colleges and will further be divided into subgroups based on

specific courses in each college. After establishing the data, Slovin’s formula will be used

to determine the sample size for the study. Simple random sampling to each strata will then

follow, also ensuring that an equal or proportionate number of respondents will be drawn

from each strata.

The number of respondents will be determined through sample size estimation

using Slovin’s formula.

n = N / (1+Ne2)
Where:
n = number of samples
N = total population
E = margin of error

(Apply the formula to the given hypothetical data above 1pt each)

Research Instrument

The study will make use of a 24-item researcher-modified survey questionnaire. It

is divided into three parts: Part I deals on the profile of the respondents (4 items) ; Part II

explores the level of awareness of the respondents to the School Policy XYZ( 10 items) ;

and Part III focuses on the degree of compliance to the said school policy( 10 items) .

(Attach a Survey Questionnaire based on the abovementioned specifications. No

need to put entries/indicators for the level of awareness and the degree of compliance. Just

present a dummy) 10 pts
