The basic philosophy of the module of International Relationship is to make
students become aware about the recent developments & happenings in the field of
International Geopolitics. Other than knowing what is happening in the present
BASIC scenario things need to be integrated with the past events.
PHILOSOPHY Students need to understand the broader aspects of International relations, the
OF objectives of our foreign policy, the themes which governs our foreign policy outlook,

In Security module we need to discuss different aspects of threats to India’s integrity
and sovereignty (for e.g. regionalism, communalism, naxalism, etc.), the agencies

The syllabus of IR & Security given by UPSC is indicative only. The actual syllabus of
