Activity for Lesson 7

Activity 1
As a student, what do you consider is the biggest challenge and, on the
other hand, the best opportunity offered to you by the new media?

New media has presented me with numerous difficulties. It got more difficult
for me to determine what was accurate and what was false. To determine whether an
idea's source is of unknown legitimacy, I must conduct extensive research. Furthermore,
new media presented a hurdle in my schooling. I'm having a hard time comprehending,
acquiring, and applying those tools in this new media online class environment because
it could lead to technical mistakes. As a student, new media provided me with quick
access, but it also provided me with a lot of useless information, making it difficult for a
student to find a reliable and valid data. On the other side, modern media has provided
me with new opportunities. I can research anything on the internet, have quicker
connection, and access to hundreds of different databases and knowledge, and new
media makes my life more practical and simpler.

1. Social media has nothing to do with tourism. FALSE

2. Being a watchdog is one of the roles of media in a democratic country. TRUE
3. One of the positive effects that social media has on politics is the opportunity for voters
to interact more easily with candidates and elected officials. TRUE
4. Social media is transforming banking relationships in very significant ways, from
improving customer service to allowing users to send money to others via online
platforms. TRUE
5. Cybercrime is criminal activity or a crime that involves the Internet, a computer system,
or computer technology. TRUE
