Introduction

Thank you for downloading Arcadian the complete arcade Front End LB Edition. Hopefully you will
get as much fun from playing retro games as I do. My aim has always been to bring people and
families together for their love of games and especially Retro Games!

Arcadian is a 57 platform build with 3907 of only arcade games from 1970’s to the present day.

This is an all in one build and will not be added to with extra games and platforms although there will
be fixes if needed which will be announced when / if needed.

Arcadian is fully integrated with RocketLauncher which enables seamless transition between
Arcadian and emulators which offers a level of customization not possible with just a Front End.

Arcadian is powered by Launchbox software and while this is a free version you will need to buy a
licence to take advantage of all the features available including BigBox. You can purchase a licence
from there website.

While a lot of the media is created by myself a lot is made by RetroHumanoid. The theme used and
lots of the RocketLauncher Media like fades are created by him and you can check out his website

As this build is based on emulation some games may have glitches or issues which is just part and
parcel. At the time of release there are issues with Sega Naomi 2 platform due to poor emulation but
have included it incase changes are made to the emulation of that platform

Important note- This build uses Gameloader 334 (latest version) portable mode which means it
should work out of the box and shouldn’t affect any version you have in app data. However, this is
Gameloader so any issue please use my Discord for support.

Install Guide

1) Disable your antivirus or exclude relevant extraction path and install drives for Arcadian.
Arcadian needs to be installed on E drive (it may work on another drive letter but I
recommend E drive)
2) Download Arcadian and Extract to the root E drive so all 4 folders are in the root of the drive
3) Install the required runtime files including Direct X9 located here: E:\ LaunchBox\Utilities\
PREP TOOLS\Visual Studio & Direct x Runtimes
4) Install the Bebas Nueue font needed for RocketLauncher located here: E:\RocketLauncher\
Media\Fonts
5) Enjoy and Play
 Arcade PC games need to be launched outside of Front end by going into each game folder
and double clicking on GameloaderRH.exe

Custom Resolution 3:4 "480x640" (Required when desktop rotation with giga wing and bounty
hunter. To avoid crashing.)

Custom Resolution 4:3 "1440x1080" (An example of a case of a full HD monitor. Required for some
games. To avoid crashing.)

On Windows 10, after starting the OS, black screen may be displayed at the first execution of each
game or the screen may not be displayed correctly.

The above problem has improved to some extent from Game Loader All RH (301) on and after.

Troubleshooting

Arcade PC and Gameloader: If games don’t load or you get an error the try the following:

Give each exe in the game folder admin rights

When you set up controller/s make sure they are plugged in and on when starting game

Change compatibility mode to the relevant mode suggested for Gameloader.exe in the property’s
menu.

Unplug any Bluetooth device connected and try again

Open up Gameloader Config.exe in each game and reset the language.ini to default found in option
3 tab

If portable mode is causing issues you can switch to normal mode by opening up the config.exe in
each game folder and selecting Other 3 tab then click change to normal mode. You can use this

RocketLauncher Controls

RocketLaucnher controls can be changed in RocketLauncher UI. To do this open up

RocketLauncherUI.exe (located here: E:\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncherUI\RocketLauncher.exe),
On the Global selection (located on the left), select General Settings and then Controls. You can
change the controls here as per screen shot

Controls

Every game has been configured to use a 360 pad as Joy 0. If you have another brand of pad then
you may need to change the controls or if you add another player you can do that as follows:

Mame

Most platforms use MAME press TAB key in game and change controls from there. You only need to
do this once 😊

Demul

Navigate to the emulator folder and make sure the padDemul.ini has read only unticked as by
default its set to read only. Then, open up the emulator and change the controls from within the
emulator under Arcade Controls. Important note- Make sure you right click on padDemul.ini and
select properties. Then tick the box that says Read Only to save your pad config

Sega Model Emulator 2

Open Emulator and load a game. You can change the controls in the options but this is done on a
game by game basis

Dolphin Triforce

Open up the emulator and change the controls from within the emulator

Note- For Triforce Mario Kart games you need to press F1 to load past the title screen!

Gameloader

Please go into each game and set the controls opening up as follows (you may need to run them as
Admin):

Examu Board= xb_config.exe

Taito Type X= ttx_config2.0.exe

Nesica= JConfig.exe

Teckno Parrot

Open up TecknoParrot.exe located here: E:\Emulators\Tekno Parrot and set the controls per game
