brother and sister In Gujrat state. This is my first visa application and nobody in my family accompanying
me during this study tour. Before taking a decision to make my career in Health science sector, I have
analyzed my skills and strengths.
Torrens University has already deemed me worthy of a place in their Master of Public Health (Advanced)

permit to pursue the same. This statement of purpose depicts my educational background, my future
educational plan and its relevance to support my long-term academic goals.

I believe that the interest of medical stream in me has been derived from my own interest. My parents are
very supportive and they have taught us about the value of education and development. After completing
my Year 10, I chose to study Science stream as I am quite inclined to pursue my career in medical field. I
have opted to study in Public health because it’s an interesting field of study and opens a numerous career
opportunities. I do not have any study gap till now and wish to maintain the same in future.

Experience:
Immediately, after the completion of my graduation, I joined Shri Hari dental clinic based in Ahmadabad as
an Intern. From Oct 2020 till now, I am serving as Junior dentist. During my job, I
realized________________________________________
About Sponsorship:

The entire array of expenses to be potentially incurred in Australia on studies and incidentals like
travelling, staying, health etc. shall be borne by my parents. They both are self employed. My parents are
financially well-off and have sufficient funds at exposure to defray all costs. Their financial records are
mentioned below and in support of my application I am attaching the proofs as well.

Annual Income of father INR 9,48,720/-

Financial - Savings INR 19,98,893/-
Why Not continuing my studies in India:
I started preparing for NEET MDS entrance exams but seeing the last few years’ results I left the
coaching and immediately started preparing for IELTS to continue my studies in abroad. As per the
NEET result statistics 2021, a total of 15,44,275 appeared for the NEET 2021 exam from which only 8,70,075
candidates have qualified for the exam. Furthermore, There are approx. 30K government MBBS seats
through NEET. 15% Government College seats are filled through all India quota counseling (Except
J&K state government college seats) and rest are filled trough individual state level counseling based
on NEET merit. Comparing the results from last years, I decided to go abroad for higher studies.
AISECT University, Panjab university, NITTE university, IIHMR, University of Lucknow, Amity University
these are few top ranking universities offering similar course. Reasons for not studying in these are
entrance exam, then reservation system and later limited seats availability. So, it is easy to study abroad
as that competition is increasing day by day in education sector of India. Students who are scoring
90% are not getting seats in their college of choice in India.
Furthermore, Indian degree lacks the actual universally accepted public health matters even in
theoretical concern and hardly open up my connections and prospect in my professional career. For a
proper understanding of the global Public Health issues, policies and management, I’ve chosen
International MPH Degree over Indian Degree.
So, I started appeared for PTE to meet the English language requirements to get admission in abroad
and in first attempt I scored good.
Research over best countries fro my higher study:
I am very conscious person about my Education and Career. When I decided to go abroad for my
Study I searched a lot about studying overseas and I researched on countries like US, UK, Canada
and Australia on their oriented websites i.e. www.usa.gov, www.gov.uk, www.canada.ca,
www.studyinaustralia.gov.au that all are the highly preferable countries for international students.

I found in USA the student need to sit for a competitive exam MCAT (Medical college admission Test)
which takes a lot of time. Similarly in USA and UK there is no Tuition Protection Scheme. Despite
these, Australian currency is a lot more economic to international students comparing to USA and
UK. In European countries, most of them use their own language, so it is difficult for international
students to adapt, even though fee structure is cheap. Also, they do not guarantee the quality
education for international students whereas Australia guarantees the quality education for
international students through ESOS Act.

I found University of Glasgow, University of Sheffield, Conventry University, University of

Greenwich, San Francisco State University and University of Kent for Master of Public in UK. The
fee varies from $40,000- $56,000 AUD per and the entry requirements are not moderate. Living
expenses are also very high as compare to USA and Australia. USA’s top universities offering similar
programs are University of Southern California, Northwestern University, University of
Wisconsin and New York University. The fee ranges from $35,000-$47,000 AUD per year. I found
that the course fees for one year is comparatively very high as compare to Australia. Also the course
available in UK & USA are of almost 1 year duration very few provides 1.5 year course which is not
acceptable in India. Most of the employers in India considered 2 years course as Masters. I do not
have any interest in migration So, I kept that in my mind and started searching for 2 years course.
Australian universities provide 2 year courses which are fully acceptable by Indian employers and the
fees structure is quite affordable as well. Also, USA has the high crime rate and Canada is the
coldest countries among all of these. In winters, sometimes the temperature falls to -30 degree
Celsius which is unbearable for students from India. Therefore, Australia is my top choice in pursuing
master’s degree in overseas. I can be assured that for the two years of my Masters degree, I will be
safe even in Australia if I will be far from home and most importantly, my family.

Reasons highlighting why Australia is the preferred study destination:

As the outcome of my research, I choose Australia because it is a very popular destination with a high quality
of education. Australia has got top ranking Universities that provide excellent quality of education and have
global recognition. The education system is more practical and carrier oriented with a good international
impression which can help students to prepare themselves for the competitive job market and to cope up
with demanding challenges at work. Friendly environment, top-quality education with innovative teaching
styles, interactive classrooms, projects, and visual presentations and many more features have made the
country an ever-welcoming destination for international students. I also attracted by the multicultural and
peaceful cities with impressive health and safety standards, low crime rate, considerably affordable living
expenses than US, UK and has favorable weather conditions and a comfortable learning environment.
All the universities of Australia must be registered with CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institute and
course for Overseas Student) so it ensures that we get a quality education, Australia has also enacted more
student-friendly laws than most countries. The Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) framework,
has benefited international students like me with various liberal opportunities and support services. This
framework ensures the international students to meet the requirements of various education and training
services along with various rights of students. Tuition Protection Service (TPS) provides a flexible approach for
placement and refund services for international students.
Visa Obligations:
I also read online testimonials of Indian students already studying there and read visa rules, living
standard on the official immigration site Australia  www.studyinaustralia.gov.in,
www.homeaffairs.gov.au I have researched about my Education Visa Subclass also that I am applying for
Student Visa under 500 SSVF and I am aware of the rule I have to follow:
 I will have to maintain 85% of attendance at my university.
 I will have to inform the course provider about my contact details within seven days of my arrival
in Australia or any further changes in the same in the future.
 I will have to maintain my OSHC till the validity of my visa.
 I shall not work more than 40 hours fortnightly.
 I have to abide by all the rules and regulations of the university as well as the country.
 I will have to leave the country before the expiry of my visa.

Research over institutions in Australia offering similar program:

I have researched the about the Universities and the courses offered by them and I encounter 2-3
universities with very good report and offering very good course as per my choices. One of them is
Torrens University. I found many universities provide my desired course like Swinburne, University of
Western Sydney, University of Western Australia, University of Queensland and RMIT.
Torrens course is more based on Public Health whereas it covers all the fundamental principles of
Health issues, medicine, including biostatics. There is emphasis on modern and cutting edge
approaches to Public health including high throughput sequencing, global health policies and the
application of biostatics & health systems. University of western Sydney is more about the
Environmental issues and same is for University of Western Australia (UWA). University of
Queensland location is not preferable for international students as it is far from city centre which
means I will have to make many adjustments which is not possible as I am going far from my family
and I have to make all the adjustments by myself. RMIT and Swinburne are also good ranking
universities as compare to Torrens but the fees and course curriculum are the reason for choosing
Torrens. I costs me $36,660 in Swinburne and $38,400 in RMIT whereas only $25,200 in Torrens. All
this helps me to choose the best university for higher Study as I found many differences.

About Torrens University:

Torrens University Australia is part of Laureate International Universities, a leading international
network of quality, innovative institutions of higher education comprised of 70 universities across 25
countries. I undertook thorough research on many Universities but according to my research on many
Universities I found that Torrens University is the best possible option for a bright career as other
courses as they charge high tuition fees for the same course. It is located in prime cities of Adelaide,
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It is considered as the fastest growing University of Australia
according to universityreview.com. Students and graduates have rated Torrens 8.9 out of 10 in teaching
quality, research, employment rates and students’ experience.  This University operates on a trimester
system that allows the courses to be completed in less time than other universities.
Going through the university website it was evident that Torrens focuses on providing students a
learning environment with face to face interactions with industry experienced professionals and
lecturers with initiatives like touch point weekend sessions, small and interactive classroom
environments.
During my research of courses, I became aware of, and impressed by Master of Public Health through
Torrens website i.e www.torrens.edu.au. I think that the study time in Torrens University is exciting and
an important step towards reaching my goal to become good supervisor when I come back India.
About my Chosen Program: Master in Public Health

My selected program is ‘Master in Public Health’. It is a 2 years Master Degree program. I have researched
a lot of information from the official website of Torrens University at https://www.torrens.edu.au/This
degree program can help aspiring workers position themselves for fulfilling careers with real potential for
making an impact. In addition to offering a solid understanding of the core disciplines of public health
across both practice and policy, graduate level work also offers the opportunity to specialise, and they
track, prevent and respond to disease outbreaks, promote healthy lifestyles, research disease and injury
prevention, and work to limit health disparities.
This degree program is duly accredited and approved by the Midwives Board. Moreover, this course also
includes rich Practical Experience, integrated by way of placements in a range of health facilities and
community settings. These will provide me with a variety of clinical experiences, opportunities to practise
my career options as a postgraduate.
To qualify in this program, I would need to complete 240 credit points and includes 24 units of study. The
names of a few subjects are mentioned below:

- Biostatistics
- Community Health Promotion
- Environmental Health
- Epidemiology
- Maternal and Child Health
- Public Health Administration and Policy
- Public Health Nutrition
- Public Health Administration and Policy(Executive)
- Public Health Practice
Also, there area lot of professional practical experiences involved in various health care settings over the
entire course structure. Thus, I believe that this course is the most optimum for me. The study would be
ideally perfect for my career as a Public healthcare.
Career Scope of Master in Public Health:
Public Health is regarded as a highly noble profession and I am confident that I can have a great career
after completing my studies.
As a post-graduate, I can have the opportunity to work in acute care hospitals, aged care services, child
and adolescent health, community health, drug and alcohol, occupational health, oncology, operating
theatres, palliative care, rehabilitation services, Community outreach coordinator, health educator, health
engagement marketing manager, public policy coordinator, substance abuse counselor, research
coordinator, clinical dietician, healthcare administrator, epidemiologist and environmental health
scientist, etc. The course has immense scope and is ideally suitable for my desired career.

Reason to return home: In my home country, I would have plenty of platforms to share my knowledge. I
would like to return to my country after the completion of the course as there is a need of candidates like me
who can do something for the health sector to maintain high standards in international level. They offer huge
remuneration for the services that I provide.
I will return to India after completion of my studies, because I have my all-Family members are living in India.
Also, I have been living with my parents since my childhood; it will be very difficult for me to stay away from
them for that long. I will miss their presence as my parents have always been in my side and have supported me
in every step of life. They have invested huge amount on my education till now and they are still supporting me
financially for my further study in Australia. So, I have great responsibility towards system. Furthermore, my
family and my responsibilities toward them play an equally important role for my return. Also, I will also be
missing out on the grand festivities that happen in my country if I don’t return. I’m habituated to the culture of
my home country and would like to return as soon as possible.

Plans after completion of Study:

After completion of my study in Australia, I would like to come back to my country to serve my country.
After returning to India, I can be a professional nurse in Medical Colleges and Nursing homes, orphanages
and can settle well in India. Nursing is such a rapidly growing industry as this profession is
In great demand in my home country and is paid well. Therefore, with my international degree and
experiences, I will be able to land an attractive job in a big hospital in any metro city.

I have a strong inclination to work with the top notch hospitals of India like Apollo Hospitals chain (Delhi);
PGI (Chandigarh); AIIMS (New Delhi), Lilavati hospital (Mumbai); Fortis (Delhi), etc. With the best academic
degree and hands-on international experience, it will be relatively far easier for me to land a job in these
hospitals.
Moreover, with the decent job comes the attractive salary package. I have done a basic research on the
average salaries for Staff Nurses which starts from Rs 6 Lacs per annum. Based on my Australian academic
profile, I can easily take off with Rs 10-12 Lacs initially. Therefore, the cost of my education in Australia can
be easily recouped back in a span of around 4-5 years.

My Declaration:
To end I could say that I am hardworking and am really passionate about my interests of being associated to
the field of health sector. My only intention to go Australia is study. I would like to thank you deep form my
heart for providing me this opportunity and will remain highly obliged towards your support. It will be really
helpful if you consider my case and grant me visa for my studies in Australia. I am looking forward for your
approval.
Yours Sincerely,
Naqirali Savaliya
