 1. Preparation

1.1 Preparatory work

Determine the kind of installation/ place of installation for the BHT INNOVA M3 New in
advance and prepare the required supply and return pipelines in accordance with the
connection plan.

The connection values and measures are mentioned in

chapter 2 “Technical data/ connections”.
Note!

1.2 Receiving

The BHT INNOVA® M3 New is delivered in a suitable package. Please check the packing
immediately after receiving it for outwardly recognizable damages. Claim directly to the
carrier.

1.3 Transport

Transport the unit with a forklift truck/ an elevating truck with

appropriate lifting power and suitable forks.
(For weight see technical data) Caution!

1.4 Unpacking

Remove the BHT INNOVA® M3 New properly from the pallet and unwrap the packing
materials. Separate the packing materials and dispose them in accordance with the
local/national rules.

Move the machine to its intended place and make sure that the structure and/ or connections
do not get damaged.

2. Assembly

2.1 Water connection

The connection of the machine to the water supply, drainage

water and power supply must be carried out only by the
skilled personnel. The applicable connection data must be

Flush all in-house water supply pipes for a prolonged period

of time, before the unit is connected. This will protect the
machine from dirt penetrating into the unit. BHT declines any
Attention! responsibility for such damages to the machine caused by
dirt from the piping.

Step 1: Connect the drainpipes to the in-house sewage system.

Step 2: Connect the supply pipes to the in-house system.

Factory marking:
Red: WW (Warm water)
Blue: CW (Cold water)
Yellow: DI (De-ionised water)

Step 3: After finishing the connection work all stop valves have to be
opened and checked for leakages.

 Assembly

2.2 Electric connection

The connection of the BHT INNOVA M3 New to the water

supply, drainage system and power supply must be carried
out by skilled personnel only. The applicable connection data
must be considered. Caution!

Step 1: Connect the unit according to the valid wiring diagram and
earth in accordance with the regulations (appropriate fuses
and main switch to be installed by customer).

2.3 Exhaust air connection

Step 1: Connect the unit according to the technical data.

2.4 Steam / condensate / compressed air (if existing)

Step 1: Connect the unit according to the technical data.

2.5 Chemicals

Step 1: Connect the unit according to the technical data.

Step 2: Wash without wash goods, so that the hoses get filled.

Step 3: Calibrate flow meters and adjust dosing quantity.

Calibration of the flow meters and the adjustment of the

dosing quantity shall only be carried out by a trained service
technician. Otherwise, the cleaning and disinfection effect is
not ensured. Caution!

3. Dismantling

Step 1: Empty the cleaning and disinfection agents.

Chemicals, respectively hazardous materials (cleaning agent)

have to be disposed in a proper way. Consider valid safety
data sheets, and local/ national regulations for the disposal of
these goods.
Attention!

Step 2: Perform a clear rinse, drain out the water.

In case of danger of freezing, drain out the residual liquids

from the machine (e.g. dosage hoses, water pipes, exhaust air
Attention! condenser, etc.).

Step 3: Make the machine pressure free (air, water, steam,

compressed air).

Before dismantling the machine, the water circulation system

of the machine must be pressure free. There is a danger of
damage and/ or injuries by heavy sprinkling water

Step 4: Disconnect the machine from the electric supply.

Works on the electrical parts of the machine must be carried

out by an electrician in accordance with the valid wiring
diagram. Completely de-energize the machine by removing
the fuses.

Dismantling

Step 5: Disconnect machine from water supply.

Step 6: Disconnect drain hoses.

Step 7: Protect all moveable parts (cables, hoses, jet arms) with
scotch tape.

The user manual is part of the machine. In case if the machine

is sold, this manual has to be enclosed.
