Library Management System

Aim of the project:


To design a modernized mechanized Library Management System.

1. Introduction:
This project "Library Management System" will be Management programming for
observing and controlling the exchanges in a library and gives us the total data about the
library. The framework would give essential arrangement of highlights to include/update
individuals, include/update books, and oversee check in details for the frameworks in
light of the customer's announcement of need. We can enter the record of new books and
recover the subtleties of books accessible in the library. We can issue the books to the
understudies and keep up their records and can likewise check what number of books are
issued and stock accessible in the library. In this undertaking we can keep up the late fine
of understudies who returns the issued books after the due date.

2. Project Objectives:
The objectives of this project are as follows:
 To computerize the manually maintained system.
 To monitor and manage all library operations efficiently.
 To reduce data redundancy.
 To store the database of the library & maintain their security.
 To enter and preserve details of the various issues and keep a track on their records.
 To construct a framework that can get input and create naturally yield in simple
manner furthermore, brief time.

3. Hardware and Software Requirements:


 PC with minimum 4GB RAM
 OS - Microsoft Windows
 IDE - Visual Studio 2019
 DBMS - MY SQL
 Language - C#

5. Existing System:
We have visited the local Library of Dhangadhi. In this existing system all the transaction of
books is done manually. So, taking more time for a transaction like borrowing a book or
returning a book and also for searching of members and books. Another major disadvantage
is that to preparing the list of books borrowed and the available books in the library will take
more time, currently it is doing as a one-day process for verifying all records.

6. Problems on existing system:


As every system has some errors or limitations. The existing system of library management
has also some and we have tried to enlist them as;
 Fast report generation is not possible.
 Tracing a book is difficult.
 Information about transactions of the book are not maintained properly.
 No central database can be created as information which is not available in database.

7. Modules on the system:


Proposed system will have following modules to perform above mentioned tasks;
I. Login Module
 Admin Login
II. Admin Module
 Student Module
 Book Module
 Issue of Books Module
 Remove of Books Module

8. Time Feasibility:
For the examination and planning of this undertaking proposition it took multi day.
Prerequisite for the task are effectively accessible and the modules that we have included can
be coded in less time so we surmise the undertaking won't set aside much effort for its
fulfillment.

9. Advantages of the proposed system:

 Simple and easy to use.
 Fully customizable.
 Highly secure and reliable.
 Dynamic reports.
 Error-free
 Use of RDBMS to wipe out the problem of data redundancy

10. Conclusion:
The proposed framework will be an automated and will be substantially more productive than
the conventional library the board framework. What's more, in the wake of examining all the
achievability tests it is by all accounts impeccable. The future improvements of this library
the executives will be e-library which will incredibly help the understudies in their
examinations. That framework will give more access to understudies too.
