VI. Introduction of the Program/Activity: Background

The Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (S.T.E.P) is an intervention program, so that the
school could share basic knowledge about effective parenting to parents and guardians. This will keep them
abreast of their responsibilities of raising and relate children in such a manner that the child is well prepared
to realize his or her full potential as human being thereby increasing their chances to become the most
capable person in the future. The Systematic Training for Effective Parenting will have a great impact in the
life of target parents with the hope that they will become partners of school in motivating good performance
of pupils.
The Systematic Training for Effective parenting will also make the parents aware of their
duties and responsibilities in shaping the future of their children. This is also a means of strengthening the
role of parents in keeping their children away from prohibited drugs.

 Program/Activity Design Features:


The activity was conducted through Face to face with observance of proper protocol
hosted by Tupi National High School on December 10, 2021. The activity was
started at around 9:00 am -9:30 am by signing in followed by an opening remarks
and orientation proper.

VII. Profile of Participants and Resource Persons


 Participants: The participants of the activity were the parents since that student are
not allowed to go to school also some teachers and BKD Coor. coordinators Resource
Persons : The following were the resource speakers:
1. Rowena Taquiwan – Living Effectively with my Adolescent
2. Jeselyn E. Claudio RN– Psychosexual
3. Lorna Villaruel – Rule of Parents

VIII. Highlights of the Program/Activity


 Opening Activity: The activity started with an opening program at 9:30 in the morning.
It began with an opening prayer followed by the singing of Philippine National Anthem,
Regional Hymn and South Cotabato Hymn. An opening and welcome address was
delivered by Ms. Kiszyl N. Uy our BKD Coordinator in Grade 7 follow by Sir Stephem S.
Salazar our School Principal IV The opening program was successfully done.
 Synthesis of the Inputs: The speakers discussed the topics based on their knowledge,
expertise and personal experience on the implementation of this program on their field.
The participants listened attentively and stayed until the end of the program.
 Closing Activity: The activity ended with a closing program and giving food pack to our
30 participants.

X. Overall Impressions, Comments and Issues Encountered:
a. On trainers/facilitators: The resource speakers were excellent. They
mastered their presentation very well.
b. From the participants: Participants sign in on time and stayed at the end of
the program.
c. On the content of the program/activity: The content of the program was
excellently discussed.
d. On delivery strategies: The speaker provided their own PowerPoint
presentation and share their presentation to the participants.
e. On training supplies and materials: The material needed in the orientation
was provided by the school.
f. On ICT equipment and internet connectivity: The signal on the school
premises were strong that help to sustain until the end of the program.

a. Prior to delivery: As soon as the memorandum was release, immediate


dissemination and preparation were done.
b. During the delivery: During the conduct of the activity, no problem was
encountered. It was done successfully.
c. After delivery: The participants were now equipped with knowledge and able
to conduct reecho on their own school assignment.
XI. Recommendation:
The information and dissemination of memorandum about the implementation of
the programs must be done ahead of time or weeks before the implementation to school,
coordinators and student to prepare for an excellent outcome.
