On motion presented by Councilor Elias V. Tolentino, Jr., duly seconded, all present members of the
Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the following City Resolution on second and final reading.

A RESOLUTION CONCURRING ON THE PERMANENT APPOINTMENT


MADE BY HONORABLE MAYOR JEJOMAR C. BINAY OF THE
FOLLOWING CITY OFFICIALS EFFECTIVE UPON APPROVAL:

SUBJECT TO ALL LAWS AND CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND


REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS, Article 2, Section 7(e) of R.A. 7854, City Charter, and Chapter 2, Section 454(d) of
R.A. 7160 mandates that all appointive city officials shall be appointed by the City Mayor with the
concurrence of the majority of all the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod;

WHEREAS, after a review of the appointment papers and credentials of the herein appointees, the
Sangguniang Panlungsod found them to possess, or even exceed, the necessary qualifications required
of the positions on which they were appointed by the City Mayor;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Civil Service Rules and Regulations, the Sangguniang Panlungsod concur
in the appointment by the City Mayor of Mr. Mario U. Hechanova as City Government Dept. Head II,
under the General Services Department, and Mr. Danilo V. Villas as City Government Dept. Head II,
under the Department of Environmental Services.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE


SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, BY VIRTUE OF THE
POWERS VESTED IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, that:

Section 1. The Sangguniang Panlungsod hereby concurs on the Honorable Mayor Jejomar C. Binay
in his appointment of the following City Officials effective upon approval:

1. Mr. Mario U. Hechanova City Government Dept. Head II


(General Services Department)

2. Mr. Danilo V. Villas City Government Dept. Head II


(Dept. of Environmental Services)

subject to all laws and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) rules and regulations.

Section 2. Let copy of this Resolution be furnished the Civil Service Commission and other
concerned offices.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect upon its approval.

APPROVED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, in


its regular session held on March 15, 2005.
