Yamaha is introducing its next generation of V6 offshore four-stroke outboard


motors, the F300F and F250N, which are fitted with many advanced technologies.

The new F300F/ F250N engines are based on the market-reliable and proven
F300B/ F250D.
This engine, which produces 300/ 250 horsepower, is equipped with a 24-valve V6
DOHC 4.2L engine.
These outboards utilize Yamaha's unique weight-saving technologies in various
places including the plasma-fused sleeveless cylinders and plastic bottom cowling,
The large displacement cylinder block features Yamaha's unique technologies such
as a long intake manifold, in-bank exhaust, an ECM controlled fuel injection system
and VCT, resulting in top performance and fuel efficiency in the V6 class.

The newly adopted built-in digital electric steering (DES) installed internally balances
simplicity of rigging with improved steering and maneuverability.

The Saltwater seriesTM II HP propeller, which was developed at the same time, has
improved maximum speed and acceleration compared to the cruising performance
of the F300B (6CE).

You can choose between attractive “Pearl White” color and traditional “Yamaha
Gray” for the exterior color.

The control system uses the Helm masterTM EX system, which can be expanded
according to consumer demand. It improves the convenience, flexibility and
information needed for offshore boats.

In addition to the conventional 25-inch and 30-inch shaft lengths, a new 35-inch
shaft has been added to make three available.

There are two types of standard model with a clockwise rotation and a counter
clockwise rotation model.

All these models also have the reliability, durability, operability and drivability that
are suitable for offshore models.

With regard to exhaust emission, exceed 2010 US Federal EPA emissions


standards as well as complies with 2008 US CARB emissions standards and EU
marine emissions regulations.

The F300F/ F250N is scheduled to start selling in February 2021.

Performance Reliability
The DOHC system provides more precise
valve timing control, and the use of four
valves per cylinder exchanges intake air and
exhaust gases more effi ciently for responsive
power and increased fuel efficiency.
The 4.2-liter V-type 6-cylinder inherited from
the F300B (6CE) has a proven track record
and further improved reliability.

Advenced Convenience Reliability
The same smooth, fast, and precise Digital
Electric Steering that was introduced on the
F425A is now built-in to F300F/F250N.
The result is significantly easier rigging and an
uncluttered bilge - with no steering pumps,
hoses, hydraulic lines or connections, no
bleeding procedure, less complexity and
straightforward serviceability.
Both use the latest in boat steering
technology to provide smooth, fast steering
and, unlike some conventional steering
systems, draw battery amperage only when
actively in use.

mount and the hardness of the damper. When
used in combination with a long span mount
system, it significantly minimizes vibrations
transmitted to the boat, allowing for a more
compact design.

Compatibility Reliability
The lower unit is available in three transom lengths.
When an F300F/ F250N is received by a dealer or boat builder the gear case will not be part of the
assembly. Instead, the technician must choose (and order) three different shaft lengths (25", 30",
or 35") .
The selected lower unit is then assembled to the motor with any rigging parts or hardware
