Standard Progressive Matrices

The Standard Progressive Matrices is an intelligence test that measures abstract reasoning and the ability to identify patterns and relationships independently of language and schooling. It consists of a series of diagrams or matrices in which the respondent is asked to identify the missing element that completes the pattern from a choice of six or eight possible answers. The test is nonverbal and culturally fair, making it effective across groups and suitable for assessing anyone over the age of 7, regardless of language or educational level.
