The muscular system allows for movement by contracting muscles and works with other systems. It works with the skeletal system to allow movement, the digestive system to push food through, the respiratory system to control breathing, and the circulatory system to pump blood. The endocrine system regulates body activities using hormones from glands like the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, thymus, adrenals, pancreas, ovaries, and testes. It works with the circulatory system to transport hormones and the nervous system to maintain homeostasis.
