I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of this lesson, the students should be able to:

1. Understand the history of badminton


2. Identify the Importance of warm-up and footwork
3. Know the equipment and facility in Badminton.
4. Determine the Rules and Regulations in playing badminton.
5. Learn the Basic skills in badminton.

IV. PROCEDURES

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
- Greetings
- Attendance
- Review the last topic
B. MOTIVATION
- The student will do the following warm-up exercise and footwork
for 10mins.
 Jogging in place
 Shuttle run
 Shuffling

C. LESSON PROPER
- Discuss the History of Badminton and the Importance of warm-up
and footwork.
- Present the equipment and facility of Badminton.
- Emphasize the Rules and Regulations in playing Badminton.
- Demonstrate the Basic skills of Badminton.
D. APPLICATION

- The teacher will group the students into 8 groups consisting of 3


members and will create an instructional video about what they
have learned about Badminton.
- They will be given a score based on the criteria below:

Content 50 %
Delivery 30 %
Creativity 20 %
TOTAL 100 %

E. GENERALIZATION
Instruction:
 The Teacher will give different questions that was related
to the discussions, to identify the learnings of the students.
QUESTIONS:
- In India (under British rule) badminton was called?
- How is that warm-up and exercise are important in Badminton?
- What are the Equipment and facility in Badminton?
- Why are the rules and regulations being needs in playing
Badminton?
- What are the different basic skills in Badminton?

F. EVALUATION
- The students will put their names on a glass bowl and the teacher
will randomly pick.
- Each student will execute the basic skills.
- This will be done on the badminton court.
- The students will be graded according to the following rubrics.

RUBRICS:
Mastery 50%
Participation 20%
Proper Execution 30%
TOTAL 100%
V. ASSIGNMENTS
Advance reading research and familiarize the history of Table Tennis.
VI. REMARKS
The presentations of the instructional video have been completed and
successfully understand by the student.

VII. REFLECTIONS
All students have shown the eagerness to learn everything about
badminton and participated well on their presentations.
