Course Outline
I. Course Description:

The Technical Drafting program aims to provide knowledge and skills for students

that are necessary to translate ideas, sketches, projections, and specifications into

accurate working drawings using manual techniques. The course content of this

program includes credits in architectural, mechanical, structural, and civil drafting.

Students may choose to focus on continuing to a degree program in architectural,

mechanical, structural, and civil engineering after completing this program.

II. Course Objectives:

At the end of this module drafting student MUST be able to:

a.) Get accurate essential skills in freehand drawing and lettering, creating structural

and decorative designs, sketching, pictorial drawing, and making orthographic

working sheets.

b.) Get acquainted with the technical and related general knowledge concerning the

general drafting trade.

c.) Manipulate Common Drafting tools, equipment and materials.

d.) Sketch simple sketches.

e.) Form good habits of work such as cleanliness, accuracy, orderliness, speed, and

industry.

f.) Appreciate good draftmaship

ALPHABET OF LINES and DIMENSIONS
