This document discusses the importance of health management information systems (HMIS) and differentiates the three determinants of HMIS performance - behavioral, organizational, and technical. It states that HMIS aids in efficiently managing health institutions by organizing patient records and data. The behavioral determinant refers to the skills and competence of HMIS users. The organizational determinant includes the system's functions, procedures, and collaborative work. The technical determinant focuses on reliable information gathering through technical aspects like software, data collection, and email forms.

Assignment: Health Management
Information System
KING OMBION Discuss the importance of Health Management Information System in a health institution.
It is essential to have a HIMS in our hospitals and
medical facilities so that we can manage them efficiently. HMIS will aid in the simple organization of patient records and data at the hospital; it is the simplest approach to keeping track of all your medical information. It's fantastic that WHO has put in place this type of system. Examining the patient's data can assist with planning, organizing, and decision-making. because without this, patients' demands are not being met. For our patient's convenience, this system is present at all three levels of the health system (primary, secondary, and tertiary). For instance, if you had a sickness three years ago and your medical records were located in the Visayas, you would need to obtain those records if you were now in Metro Manila and HMIS was bringing them in. You don't need to travel to Visaya to retrieve your files; instead, HMIS will make them accessible quickly and with little effort on your part by looking at their computers. cause if we used the old fashion way of gathering data, it will be difficult for the health care facilitators to find it since that's a lot, and maybe your files are lost. It stored files. Differentiate the 3 determinants of HMIS Performance Area and give at least 2 examples each.
BEHAVIORAL
A behavioral determinant is a user of
HMIS who has to be capable of operating the systems with assurance and competence. Therefore, when we say about behavior, you need also think about your professionalism and competence when using HMIS because if you don't have such skills, it might cause problems, therefore you need to be driven, skilled, knowledgeable, and competent.
For instance, being "lazy" prevents you from
performing the HMIS correctly, and it also prevents you from performing and making decisions on the system appropriately if you don't concentrate. ORGANIZATIONAL
For the RHIS to operate efficiently,
organizational determinants include the system's function, procedure, structure, data collecting, and analysis. With the help of these determinants, we may enhance the RHIS, promote health, apply the cultural beliefs, and achieve its vision and mission. To reach our goals, we must work collaboratively.
example: coordinating with other locals,
and making a cultural plan. TECHNICAL
It focuses mainly on the technical aspects
of the system, data collection, and software design to ensure reliable information gathering.
