Step by step tutorial: Anti-Virus Links & Info
0. If you think you dont have one, follow the instructions for Windows Defender
Make sure you have installed the latest BakkesMod version from the website (https:
//bakkesmod.com)
Name/Link Additional Info (hover over/ click the name of your AV and click the link)

(If you do not see file extensions, like .zip / .exe for example in filenames, that's not a Windows Defender /
problem. You have them hidden, filenames used in this guide will still be the same,
even if you have extensions hidden.) Windows Firewall /

1. Find your AV in the list we provide here, read the additional information next to it, if Avast /
there is any, and open the link connected to its name. It'll give you instructions how to
whitelist / make exceptions in your AV. AVG /

2. Whitelist "bakkesmod.exe" (located in C:/Program Files/bakkesmod/) BitDefender /

3. Whitelist the secondary BakkesMod installation folder -> Located here

1. Go to BullGuard settings
(If you cannot whitelist entire folders with your AV, follow step 3.1 instead) Bullguard 2. Antivirus -> Advanced settings -> Tuning
3. Tick the “Skip files/folders” -> click the “files/folders” hyperlink to bring up a selection
3.1. (Ignore these substeps if your AV could whitelist entire folders and continue at step 4.)

Make sure "bakkesmod.exe" , "bakkesmod.dll" have NOT been put into quarantine by ESET /
your AV. If they were, restore them. How to exactly do that depends on which AV
you're using. Kaspersky The UI is different, but the steps are the same
3.2 Malwarebytes /
Whitelist "bakkesmod.dll" (the one in the bakkesmod folder AND the one in the dll
folder)". They're located in the folder that opens when you do this:

Panda Not possible with the Free version.

PC Protect /

Scanguard /

TotalAV /

TrendMicro /

F-Secure /

Webroot Can't whitelist whole folders. Files only. Follow step 3.1 instead of step 3.

4. If your AV is not listed among these, tell us which AV you have and we'll try to add it to this list.
Close Rocket League and BakkesMod. Run BakkesMod as admin and then select
"File -> Reinstall".

4.1. (If you encounter a "Could not remove bakkesmod folder, no rights or a file is already
in use" error, restart your PC, while holding the SHIFT key, like shown on the picture
below and repeat step 4 after booting up again.)

If that didn't fix this error, you did not whitelist correctly.

Check if BakkesMod works ingame now. It should work, unless you did
not whitelist correctly or there's a different issue.
