Organizational Behavior helps in motivating employees

Motivation plays a significant role in any organization. It is said to be an encouragement for


employees to be eager to complete their specific task without being forced. It refers to the
positive mindset that motivates employees to achieve the organization's objectives/goals.
Organizational behavior helps managers motivate the employees bringing good organizational
performance, automatically leading to job satisfaction. It helps to achieve the organizational
goals properly as we cannot neglect the importance of employee behavior in an organization.

Organizational Behavior helps in improving Industrial/Labor relations

Organizational behavior helps to improve industrial/labor relations. It significantly assists


organizations with building a strong and trustworthy relationship with their employees.
Why is trustworthy important in the workplace? Trust allows employees in the organization
to have greater motivation on other employees. In the working environment, trust enhances
decision making, improves productivity, decreases stress in the workplace, and increases
employee loyalty. Organizational behavior helps managers in understanding the root cause of
the problem, predict its future course of action and control its negative consequences. As
managers are aware of the positive and negative consequences of the behavior, it enables
managers to maintain friendly relations with their employees which creates peace and harmony
in the organization.

Organizational behavior helps in effective utilization of human resources.

Knowledge and nature of organizational behavior help managers to manage people’s behavior
and the organization effectively. Likewise, it enables managers to inspire and motivate
employees toward higher productivity and better results as managers are able to analyze and
understand the nature and behavior of his employees. After the employees are provided with
their job descriptions, it becomes easy to analyze their behavior in the organization. Therefore,
the essentials of organizational behavior cannot be denied.
