The Human Skeletal System

This document provides an overview of the human skeletal system for a Year 5 class. It defines the skeletal system as the bones in the human body. The four main bones are identified as the skull, ribs, backbone, and hand/leg bones. Joints are described as places where two or more bones connect, with eight positions in the body identified. The functions of the skeletal system are to protect internal organs, provide support and movement, and allow flexibility. Students are assigned tasks to identify the importance of the skeletal system and complete a skeleton model project labeling bone functions.

System
YEAR 5 DLP
At the end of this lesson, you will be able to :
 State the meaning of human skeletal system,
identify the main human skeleton and explain
about their functions.

 State the meaning of joints, identify the positions

of joints in our body and knowing its functions.

 State the importance of human skeletal system.

What is human skeletal
system?
 Human skeletal system is the bones in
human body that make up a system.

 There are 4 main of human skeleton

which is :
i) Skull
ii) Rib
