A. PROGRAM / COURSE PROFILE


TITLE SLACS OF MAPEH and EsP DEPARTMENT IN SAN MARIANO
NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2021-2022
Rationale
In line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the
Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, the Department of Education
(DepEd) issues the enclosed policy on the learning Action Cell (LAC) as
a K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing
Professional Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching
and Learning. In addition, part of the Results based Performance
Management Cycle is the Learning Development of personnel in all
four cycles which includes in-service trainings, technical assistance,
mentoring, coaching, and learning action cell sessions.

As an institution of learning, the San Mariano National High


school under MAPEH and EsP Department works together to protect
and promote the right of Filipinos to quality basic education that is
equitable, culture-based, and complete, and allows them to realize
their potential and contribute meaningfully to building the nation.

Organizing LAC session is one way of helping the MAPEH and


EsP teachers in the construction of new knowledge about instruction
as well as in revising traditional beliefs and assumptions about
education, community, teaching, and learning to suit the present
needs of learners.

The content of LAC sessions in MAPEH and EsP are


determined by the AP teachers themselves under the general
guidance of the school head or LAC leader. This is also done through
needs assessments of the subject.
