GFRP, RUBBER & PVC LINING AND COATINGS

The purpose of rubber lining is to protect the vessels, tanks and piping against corrosion and/or erosion damage
and increasing the life of their service. In present work isoprene/natural rubber is used to prepare the lining material
for 33% diluted HCL acid storage tank.
Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) is a resin lining used to raise the durability and safety by introducing a lining inside
of concrete tanks, walls, ceilings, wood, concrete block, and many other solid surfaces. FRP prevents them from
structural cracks which generally occurs due to the chemical attacks.
PVC Liners are highly flexible and impermeable films most commonly used in 20 mil, 30 mil and 40 mil thicknesses.
PVC is widely used as a liner material for numerous pond and containment applications. It makes an excellent choice for
containment of chemicals, liquids and wastes.

GFRP COOLING TOWER AND ITS PARTS

Fiberglass cooling towers are constructs made with the purpose of cooling down a building by enabling a heat transfer
that is far more powerful than that of air-cooled air condition.
Maintenance is easier and costs less when compared to cooling towers constructed using other materials. This is due
to the fact that fiberglass does not dent and deform like metal hence providing a low life cycle cost. It has high impact
strength and rigidity which means that it is able to deform without fracturing

Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) provide the desired non-corrosive quality to the fan blades, resulting the
operation of fans even in the very aggressive environment. Lightweight FRP fans also ensure a low moment
of inertia, minimum wear & stress on motor, bearing and drive system
PVC Blowers provide optimum chemical resistance and are made specifically to handle high order oxidizers
such as per chloric acid. The housings are vacuum formed from plasticized Type I polyvinyl chloride to handle
highly corrosive applications
PVC fans (polyvinyl chloride) are intended for transport of specific media according to their corrosive, chemical,
thermal effect and dust influence on materials used in fan's flow part; temperature limits are from 00С till +600С.

GFRP/PVC FILTERS

Their purpose is to protect the system from debris that might damage components of the air systems such as f
ans, motors, cooling coils, and heat exchangers. These filters are ¾–1 in. (1.9–2.5 cm) thick and available in standard
and special sizes up to 20 × 30 in.

5MM PVC membrane filters with low moisture pickup are ideal for use in gravimetric
analysis & use in monitoring for metals, silica & dust.

Things you should know before this course

Fiberglass-reinforced polymer is a strong, lightweight building material that resists corrosion.
FRP is sometimes called composite because it's made of a combination of materials that
work together for even stronger performance.

Fiberglass is highly resistant to the corrosive effects of seawater, making it the ideal option for exterior
panels, supports, and other marine components. Chemical. Fiberglass is a great material option for holding
tanks, containers, and covers that contain corrosive chemicals.
We understand that, if you're not used to fiberglass vehicle bodies, you might have one
very reasonable question: how strong is fiberglass? The answer is that, pound–for–pound,
fiberglass is stronger than steel or aluminum. While strength isn't the only consideration in
selecting a vehicle body, it is a major one.

Fiberglass tends to be more flexible than carbon fiber and is about 15x less expensive. For
applications that don't require maximum stiffness – like storage tanks, building insulation,
protective helmets, and body panels – fiberglass is the preferred material.

Burning wood in the fire pit is a fire hazard. It also produces smoke and toxic fumes that lead to
environmental pollution and create lung and other respiratory illnesses. Fire glass does not emit any
smoke or odor and is perfectly safe to use, both indoors and outdoors, even with pets and children
nearby.

There isn't a definite figure or set number of year’s per-say. But you may be surprised to know that
fiberglass insulation can last anywhere between 80 and 100 years. As long as the material is not
exposed to too much moisture and is not broken by human interference, it should be fine
