Sample Item Analysis

This document summarizes the results of an English exam given to 10 students split into an upper and lower group. It shows the number of correct responses for each item by each group. An item analysis is then presented, calculating the difficulty index and discrimination index for each item. Based on these statistics, recommendations are given on whether each item needs revision, can be accepted as is, or should be discarded. The majority of items are recommended to need major revision to the stem and/or choices.
