Air Conditioning Maintenance Procedure

Prosedur Tes Performa (Performance Test Procedure)


Pengetesan sistem AC dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi semua komponen didalam
system.
The AC system testing is done to determine the condition of all components in the
system.
1. Pasang manifold gauge
Attach manifold gauge
2. Lakukan air bleeding prosedur
Perform air bleeding procedure
3. Hidupkan engine pada putaran 1000-1500 rpm.
Turn on the engine at 1000-1500 rpm rotation
4. Hidupkan AC pada posisi ON selama 5 sampai 10 menit untuk menstabilkan system.
Turn on the air conditioner for 5 to 10 minutes to stabilize the system.
5. Tempatkan thermometer pada AC ventilasi sedekat mungkin pada evaporator.
Put the thermometer in the air conditioning vent as close as possible to the
evaporator
6. Tutup semua jendela dan pintu kabin.
Close all windows and doors in cabin.
7. Atur system AC pendinginan dan kecepatan blower pada posisi maksimal.
Set the air conditioning system and blower fan speed at the maximum position
8. Pembacaan manifold gauge harus sesuai spesifikasi.
Manifold gauge readings must be refer to the specification.
9. Bandingkan pembacaan suhu udara keluaran evaporator dengan ambient suhu.
Compare the readings of the air temperature from the evaporator exit with the
ambient temperature

Misal: Ambient Suhu 33 C maka Suhu didalam kabin harus:
Example : Ambient temperature is 330C, it means the temperature inside cabin must
be :
330C – 170C=160C
10. Melakukan pengecekan suhu dibeberapa bagian komponen untuk perbedaannya
Check the temperature difference in some parts of the component
11. Apabila kondisi tercapai maka system berjalan dengan normal.
If the condition is reached, it means the system is running normally.

HP Gauge (nilai minimum) = (Ambient temp + 20 0 C) ± 3 0 C


HP Gauge (nilai maximum) = (Ambient temp + 30 0 C) ± 3 0 C
Ducting C = (Ambient temp – Perbedaan yang diizinkan) ± 3 0 C

Prosedur Pengosongan Sistem


(Evacuating Procedure)
Membuang langsung Refrigeran di udara luar, yaitu ;
Dump the refrigerant to the outdoor air, namely;
1. Rangkai manifold gauge set yang dalam kondisi valve tertutup
Attach manifold gauge sets to the sistem with closed valve condition
2. Arahkan hose kuning pada gauge ke dalam air yang sudah disediakan
Put the yellow hose on the gauge into the water that has been provided
3. Buka pelan-pelan valve low agar tidak menyembur, sambil ditahan hose kuning
didalam air
Open valve slowly so that refrigerant does not gush, while detained the yellow
hose in the water
4. Setelah tekanan dalam sistem sudah berkurang banyak dan gauge high
menunjukkan tekanan rendah, maka buka pelan-pelan valve highnya dan buka
penuh valve low.
After the pressure inside the system has been reduced a lot and high gauge
indicates low pressure, then slowly open full the high side valve and low side valve
too.
5. Buka penuh valve high secara pelan-pelan dan biarkan sampai sistem benar-benar
kosong.
Open full high valve slowly and allow to completely empty the system.
6. Setelah selesai lepaskan gauge manifold
After done, remove the gauge manifold

Pengujian Kebocoran Sistem dengan Tekanan Nitrogen


Nitrogen Pressure Testing of System
1. Dengan regulator nitrogen yang aman, periksa apakah posisinya sudah nol (tidak
bertekanan).
With nitrogen regulator secured check it is fully backed off (no pressure position).
2. Sambungkan hose pengujian tekanan warna MERAH dengan coupler pada regulator
outlet.
Connect the RED pressure testing hose with coupler to the regulator outlet.
3. Sambungkan coupler pada sistem dan putar valve depressor.
Connect the coupler onto the system and wind in the valve depressor.
4. Buka valve Tabung kemudian putar regulator untuk menyetel tekanan hingga
1750kPa/250PSIG.
Open the cylinder valve then wind in the regulator to set the pressure to 1750
kPa/250 PSIG.
5. Ketika sistem diberi tekanan maksimal, tutup valve Tabung.
When the system is fully pressurised, close off the cylinder valve.
6. Posisikan tekanan regulator pada posisi nol. Amati tekanan gauge setelah 10 menit
untuk memastikan tekanan BELUM berkurang. Selama periode itu, tes ‘soapy
water’/air bersabun dapat dilakukan pada sambungan atau Anda dapat menggunakan
tes ‘tekanan retention’/ketahanan tekanan. Hal ini merupakan pilihan pribadi.

Back off the pressure regulator fully. Observe the pressure gauge after 10 minutes to
ensure it has NOT reduced pressure. During this time a “soapy water” test can be
done on the joints or you can simply use the “pressure retention” test. This is
personal choice.
CATATAN: Tes tekanan retention selama 10 menit merupakan standar minimum.
Direkomendasikan untuk sistem yang lebih besar agar tes tekanan ditambah menjadi
30 menit.
Note: The ten minute pressure retention test is the minimum standard. It is strongly
recommended for larger systems that the pressure test be extended to 30 minutes.
7. Jika sistem yang bertekanan OK, posisikan coupler pada posisi nol.
If the system is holding pressure OK, back off the coupler.
8. Buka hose warna merah secara perlahan pada regulator untuk mengeluarkan
tekanan nitrogen. Biarkan sistem benar-benar membuang tekanan sebelum melepas
hose warna merah dari regulator.
Crack” the red hose slowly at the regulator to bleed off nitrogen pressure. Allow the
system to fully de-pressurise prior to removing the red hose from the regulator.

Vacum Sistem dan Pengecekan Kebocoran


Vacuum the system and test the leakage
1. Rangkai manifold gauge set.
Set up manifold gauge
2. Yakinkan oli level pada vacuum pump dan buka exhaust plug
Make sure the oil level on the vacuum pump and open the exhaust plug
3. Pasang hose yang berwarna kuning pada vacuum pump
Connect the yellow hose to a vacuum pump
4. Pasang hose yang berwarna merah pada discharge compressor, dan diparallel
dengan Vacum Gauge / Vacrometer (Untuk mendeteksi kebocoran dalam sistem)
Connect the red hose to the compressor discharge, and install vacuum gauge/
vacrometer parallel with the red hose (To detect leaks in the system)
5. Pasang hose biru manifold gauge pada suction kompresor
Connect the blue hose on manifold gauge to the compressor suction
6. Buka valve biru dan merah pada manifold gauge
Open valve blue and red on manifold gauge
7. Hidupkan vacuum pump sampai pembacaan gauge pada sisi low 28-30 Inhg.
Lakukan selama minimal 60 menit/ 1 kg kapasitas pada sistemnya dan sampai
vacuum gauge/ vacrometer menunjukkan 500 micron (LED menyala), kalau
tersedia.
Turn on the vacuum pump until the gauge reading on the low side 28-30 inHg. Do
it for at least 60 minutes / 1 kg capacity in the system and until the vacuum gauge
/ vacrometer showing 500 micron (LED lit), if available.
8. Tutup valve pada manifold gauge
Close the valve on the manifold gauge
9. Lanjutkan ke pengisian oli.
Continue to fill the oil

Pengisian Oli
(Oil Refill)
Jumlah oli yang dimasukan ke keseluruhan sistem adalah 20% dari jumlah kapasitas
refrigerannya.
The amount of oil that entered into the system is 20% of the total refrigerant capacity
Misal : Standar kapasitas Refrigeran Dump Truck CAT 785C adalah 3Kg (3000 gr), maka
3000 gr x 20% = 600 gr atau 600 ml
Jadi kapasitas oli pada keseluruhan sistem air conditioning Dump Truck Cat 785C
adalah 600 ml
Example: Standard capacity Dump Truck CAT 785C Refrigerant is 3kg (3000 g), then
3000 gr x 20% = 600 g or 600 ml
So the overall oil capacity air conditioning system Dump Truck Cat 785C is 600 ml
Ada beberapa cara pengisian Oli, yaitu ;
There are several ways to refill oil, namely;
1. Prosedur Pengisian Melalui Proses Vakum (Injeksi)
Refill Procedure Through the Vacuum Process ( Injection )
Pengisian oli dengan metode vakum:
Oil fill the vacuum method :
Proses ini dilakukan untuk menambahkan oli didalam sistem setelah kompresor diisi
oli secara manual
The function of this procedure is to add oil in the system after compressor has been
filled by oil
Persiapan ;
Preparation
Siapkan oli dalam tabung inject sesuai takarannya. Jumlah oli yang dimasukkan ke
sistem dan kompressor adalah 20% dari jumlah refrigeran yang akan diisikan
pada sistemnya tersebut dan tambahkan sekitar 20 ml.
Prepare oil in the inject tube accordance with the refrigerant capacity in the
system. The amount of oil that is inserted into the system and the compressor is
20 % of the amount of refrigerant that will be loaded on the system and add
about 20 ml .
a. Setelah melakukan pem-vacum-an lepas hose merah pada manifold dan
pasang pada tabung inject yang sudah berisi oli.
After conducting early development vacuum hose off the manifold and the
red tide in the tube that already contains oil inject .
b. Buka valve pada tabung oli dan tutup valve sebelum terhisap habis (20 ml)
agar udara tidak masuk.
Open the valve on the tube and close the valve before the oil sucked out (
20 ml ) so that the air does not enter .
c. Lepas hose merah pada tabung inject dan pasangkan ke manifold kembali
Remove the red hose on the tube and attach it to the manifold inject back
d. Lanjutkan ke langkah pengisian
Proceed to step charging

2. Prosedur Pengisian Oli Secara Manual


Oil Filling Procedure Manual
1. Hitunglah jumlah oli yang diperlukan pada sistem tersebut
Calculate the amount of oil that is required inside the system
2. Dari jumlah oli tadi ambil sejumlah oli yang diperlukan pada kompresor saja
(lihat name plate atau manual)
Take the necessary amount of oil from the compressor according to the first
dose was ( see name plate or manual ).
3. Buka plug yang terdapat pada compressor, lalu buang oli yang lama sampai
habis
Open compressor plug , and then dispose the oil inside it
4. Masukkan oli sejumlah takaran untuk kompresor yang sudah dipisahkan tadi
Refill the oil to the compressor according to the previous dose
5. Tutup plug compressor
Close the compressor plug
6. Pasang compressor dan lengkapi semua sistemnya, lalu vacuum sesuai dengan
jumlah kapasitasnya.
Install the compressor and complete the system , then vacuum according to the
number of its capacity .
Sisa oli yang ada pada takaran pertama tadi bisa dimasukkan melalui sistem
dengan cara injeksi (cara pertama)
The residual oil in the first dose had been able to put through the system by
injection ( the first way )
7. Lanjutkan dengan proses pengisian refrigerant
Continue to the charging process
Untuk yang menggunakan tool recover bisa melihat takaran oli yang akan diisikan sesuai
dengan takaran oli yang dikeluarkan sebelumnya.
To use a tool that can recover oil that would see the dose according to the dose of oil
loaded previously issued .To use recovering tool, we can refill the oil according to the
dose of used oil is dumped before.

Prosedur Membuang Kandungan Angin Dalam


Manifold Gauge (Air Bleeding Procedure)
Prosedur ini dilakukan untuk menghindari masuknya udara yang ada didalam manifold
gauge saat melakukan pengisian Refrigeran.
This procedure is done to avoid the entry of air that is inside the manifold gauge when
charging refrigerant.
1. Pastikan semua valve tertutup sebelum memasang manifold gauge ke sistem
Make sure all the valve is closed before installing the manifold gauge to the
system
2. Pasangkan hose manifold berwarna kuning ke botol Refrigeran
Connect the yellow of manifold hose to the tank Refrigerant
3. Pasangkan hose manifold high dan low ke compressor
Connect the red and blue of manifold hose to compressor
4. Buka sekitar 2/3 valve pada tanki refrigeran
Open about 2/3 valve on the tank refrigerant
5. Buka pelan-pelan hose kuning pada posisi manifold selama 2 – 3 detik untuk
membiarkan refrigeran mendorong udara yang ada didalam hose tersebut untuk
keluar, lalu tutup dan kencangkan hosenya
Open slowly the yellow hose on the manifold for 2-3 seconds to let the refrigerant
air push the air inside the hose to come out, then close and tighten the hose.
6. Buka pelan-pelan secara bergantian hose merah dan biru pada manifold selama 2-
3 detik untuk refrigeran mendorong udara yang ada didalam hose tersebut untuk
keluar, lalu tutup dan kencangkan hosenya
Open slowly the red on the manifold for 2-3 seconds to push air refrigerant inside
the hose to come out and do the same for the blue hose on manifold, then close
and tighten the hose.

Prosedur Pengisian Refrigeran (Recharge Procedure)


Dengan menggunakan LIQUID sebagai berikut:
By using LIQUID as follows :
1. Pasangkan manifold gauge hose pada system.
Connect the hose of manifold gauge to the system
2. Pasang hose kuning pada botol refrigerant, dan lakukan prosedur bleeding udara
pada sistem.
Connect the yellow hose on the bottle of refrigerant , and do the air bleeding
procedure
3. Selesai melakukan bleeding, balik botol refrigerant (memasukan liquid dalam
system)
After bleeding , Finished bleeding , turning the bottle refrigerant ( to make liquid
that will entering to the system)
4. Note : ENGINE TIDAK BOLEH HIDUP SAAT MENGISI LIQUID PADA SISTEM
Note : ENGINE SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING WHEN FILLING LIQUID TO SYSTEM
5. Buka valve berwarna merah, biarkan tekanan pada high side mencapai 300 Kpa
(43,5 psi) atau gauge sudah tidak bergerak naik lagi, dan pastikan valve biru
(low side) dalam keadaan tertutup

Open the red valve , let the pressure enter to the sistem until the high side reach
300 Kpa ( 43.5 psi ) or the gauge is not moving up again , and make sure the
blue valve (low side) closed
6. Setelah pressure tercapai, tutup valve dan biarkan selama 2 – 3 menit untuk
menyamakan tekanan didalam sistem. Dan setelah periode tersebut, putar
compressor AC sekitar 5 - 6 putaran dengan tangan untuk memastikan tidak ada
terjadi hydraulic lock di dalam kompressor.
After the pressure is reached , close the valve and let stand for 2-3 minutes to
“settle” the pressure in the system . During the period , turn the AC compressor
about 5 - 6 revolution by hand to make sure nothing happens hydraulic lock in the
compressor .
7. Hidupkan mesin pada rpm 1500.
Start the engine and running around 1500 rpm
8. Hidupkan switch AC dan blower pada posisi maksimal.
Turn on AC and blower fan in maximal position
9. Isikan refrigerant sisa kapasitas standardnya pada sisi low dengan membuka valve
secara konstan 50 psi. Yang diisikan tetap liquid (botol pada posisi terbalik).
Recharge refrigerant
Enter the rest of the refrigerant from the low side and open valve with maximum
pressure is 50 Psi on blue gauge
10. Perhatikan pembacaan pada manifold gauge sesuaikan dengan spesifikasi
Check manifold gauge until reach the specification
Low side: 20-40 psi
High side sesuai table (Based on chart)
11. Lakukan proses performance test sesuai prosedur.
And then do the performance test procedure
