It is from my young age that I have decided to make my future in a field that involves creativity, designing

and logical thinking. I am Yavanica Jwala K from Tamil Nadu, a southern state in India. After completing my
undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering,, I am pursuing a career in the field of IT for 5 years,
4years as a Software Quality Analyst in ITAG, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and 1year as a Database Administrator in
Payoda Technologies, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Now, in addition to my knowledge in Software Technologies,
I have an appreciation for Interactive Technologies. I am extremely interested in the Master's degree on
Information Systems offered at Uppsala University.

During my schooling, I was just enjoying the basic fun with computers just like other kids. But when I
realized meticulously about the amazing things computers are capable of doing, I have decided that my
career should be associated with it. I had put in a lot of efforts to secure and complete my Undergraduate
Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, which is considered to be the best in my
state.Software quality Assurance,Artificial Intelligence,Software Engineering and Database Management
Systems had been my favorite subjects and I have excelled it during my course. There was an internet boom
during my college years, hence I developed keen interest in knowing how social networking works and how
technology reshaped communications and media. The way the Artificial Intelligent systems extracted huge
chunks of data from the user and predicted the human behavior always fascinated me. I made sure that I
acquire the right experience to keep my future goals open. My undergraduate studies gave me good
knowledge about computer science and engineering concepts. During the course, I completed a group
project on Artificial Intelligence which has been very insightful to pitch into a domain which I consider as
the future.

The reason to choose this course at Uppsala University is, it has subjects which satisfy my interests like
“Introduction to digitalisation and digital practice”, “Contemporary systems development, agile methods
and digital infrastructure”,”Artificial intelligence and strategic value creation from IT”. The syllabus of this
course feels like a bundle packed with my interested areas and it gives a strong urge to achieve success in
this field. As a Software Analyst and Database Admin, I have a strong background of user perspective
and good knowledge of Data Collection and Mining.I have worked on projects based on agile methodology. I
believe these exposures would make me worthy of this particular course.

I am aspired to contribute for sustainable development of the society through this course. I would create
awareness for well-being of people and responsible consumption and production of resources. My Degree
project would be based on how to design systems adapted to people with physical or cognitive
impairments . I strongly believe that after completing the Master of Science in Information Systems, I can be
a successful Software Architect. Also, down the line, I would like to focus on Industrial Research on Artificial
Intellligence for the welfare of people with disabilities.

I have followed the above-quoted lines throughout my career and life to reach where I am. This helps me in
keep acquiring new skills relevant to the industry and makes myself a valuable asset to the organization
which I am being part of. I am at this place with no regrets and self-satisfaction of striving to get what I am
passionate about. Apart from being a passionate reader, I have been a student member of the Indian
society for technical education (ISTE), the only Indian organization in the field of Engineering and
Technology, which connects educators and students. For gaining international exposure, I enrolled myself in
an assessment organized by Cambridge University for Business English and cleared it.

An adept research career can only be built upon the firm foundation of a good education. I am well-aware
that Uppsala university expects high standards from its students and I am confident that I would be able to
live up to it. My undergraduate records are a testimony to the fact that I am a dedicated student and that I
am genuinely interested in learning more about Information Systems Management. I hope that I would be
given a chance to receive education under the guidance of brilliant academicians and first-class research
infrastructure at this esteemed university.
