DISTRICT ATHELETIC MEET

Rationale

The promotion of sports plays a vital role in developing a sound and responsible citizen, such an
undertaking provides favorable conditions in enhancing unity, friendship and cooperation and thus
promotes goodwill among our athletes.
More so, sports activities develop positive traits such as discipline, determination, efficiency,
patience, hardworking and team building. It teaches our young athletes a deep sense of responsibility and
tenacity in facing life’s challenges; enhances the spirit of teamwork, unity among the team and creates good
working relationship in a workplace.
Thus, the school and the district initiated the District Athletic Meet to encourage all participants to
give their best during the friendly competition/ selection for in doing so, they lay the ground work for
excellence for the upcoming Division Athletic Meet 2023.

Terminal Objectives:

This activity aims to achieve the following:

1. To provide opportunity to every athlete to participate in sports and to mold them towards the
development of their minds, heart, hand and body;
2. to give our athletes the necessary skills to perform successfully in sports with emphasis on
sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, leadership and teamwork;
3. to promote wellness and develop the feeling of cooperation and camaraderie.

Date: January 28-29,2023, 2-day activity

Venue: San Francisco NHS for Secondary & Anao-aon Central ES, Anao-aon District for Elementary.

1. In reference to Division Memo. No. ___, s. 2023, Anao-aon District will conduct a
Two-day District Athletic Meet 2023 on January 28-29, 2023.
2. Venue: San Francisco NHS for Secondary & Anao-aon Central ES, Anao-aon
District for Elementary.
3. The objectives of this activity are the following:
3.1 To provide opportunity to every athlete to participate in sports and to mold
them towards the development of their minds, heart, hand and body;
3.2 to give our athletes the necessary skills to perform successfully in sports
with emphasis on sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, leadership and
teamwork;
3.3 to promote wellness and develop the feeling of cooperation and
camaraderie.
4. Participants to this training are the following:
- 185 Elementary & Secondary Teachers, Coaches and Athletes
5. 2 Meals and 4Snacks for 2 days in the amount of 420.00 pesos per participant and
other required materials/ expenditure will be charged against local funds/ School
MOOE subject to usual accounting and auditing rules & regulations.
6. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum to all concerned is hereby directed.
