2.1. The tournament shall be played in accordance with the rules of the International
Sepak Takraw Federation (ISTAF) currently enforced.
2.2. Any unforeseen incidents not covered by the rules shall be dealt with as follows:
2.2.1. Case of general nature shall be resolved in accordance with the Palarong
Pambansa game rules.
2.2.2. Technical questions shall be referred to and resolved by the Technical
Committee.
2.2.3 Incase of problems not covered by the existing ISTAF rules, the final decision
shall rest with the Tournament Manager.
3.1. The tournament manager shall prepare the rules of the tournament.
3.2. The tournament shall be played in single round robin system group into four, A,
B,C, and D for the elimination. Top two (2) teams in each group will advance to the
quarterfinals using the knock out system using the following schedule:
Winner A vs Runner-up D
Winner B vs Runner-up C
Winner C vs Runner-up B
Winner D vs Runner-up A
Team who first to lose in the quarterfinals will get 8th place and so on to 5th place.
4.1. A team shall comprise of nine (9) players and three (3) reserve players. No players
may play in more than one regu. Each Regu shall be decided on the best of three (3)
sets. The rules were based on the ISTAF rules composed of (12) twelve players.
4.2. Under the new rule the Coach may register (2) two reserve players in each regu but
only one player will be substituted.
4.3. Substitution of players is allowed on request of the official coach directly to the
referee when the ball is not on play by raising the Substitution Card.
4.4 Each regu will be allowed to make a substitution for injury provided a substitution
has not been made ealier. If a substitution had been made, the regu will not be
allowed to continue the game and considered as having lost.
4.5. Any regu having less than three (3) players will not be allowed to continue and will
be considered as having lost.
VI. ENTRIES
6.1. Fifteen (15) minutes before the start of the game, Coaches of each team must submit
their entries according to the regulations imposed by the technical management
committee.
6.2. Rule of succession shall be applied.
6.3. Fifteen minutes grace period shall be given to a team after the conclusion of the
match following their game schedule.
6.4. Non-appearance of the team after the grace period will mean forfeiture of the game
in favor of the opposing team.
7.1. The sides which serve first will serve for three (3) consecutive services, following
which the other side will also serve for the next three (3) consecutive services.
Service will alternate thereafter every three (3) points regardless of which side wins
a point.
7.2. At deuce (when both sides reach 20-20) the service shall alternate in every point
scores by a player/team.
7.3. The side which receives first in any set shall serve first in the subsequent set.
8.1. Each set is won by a player/team which scores twenty one (21) points. In the event of
20-20 tie, the set shall be won by a player/team with two (2) points advantage or
when a player/team reaches twenty five (25) points (whichever occurs first). The
match referee will announce “Setting up of twenty points” when the score is tied at
20-20.
9.1. Participating teams should wear the color of their respective team assigned to them
during their scheduled games.
9.2. Players not wearing their proper uniforms during which their team or regu is
scheduled to play will not be allowed to play.
9.3. Player must wear their jersey uniform with permanent number at the back of their
shirt and small in front numbering 1 to 12.
Disciplinary action will be taken against Team Officials or his/her team for any
misconduct or disturbances committed by the official or team during the tournament
whether inside or outside the court.
XI. GENERAL
In the event of any question or any matter arising out of any point, which is not
expressly provided for in any rules of the game, the decision of the Official Referee is final.

with the first runner-up in the other group as follows:

Winner B vs Runner-up C
Winner C vs Runner-up B
Winner D vs Runner-up A
First to lose in the quarterfinals will get 8th place to 5th place.

2.4. The tournament manager shall manage and take charge of the proper conduct of
the game and shall have final decision in all disputes and problems arising from the
tournament upon consultation with the Technical Committee.
2.5. Only the official coach must observe proper decorum. Violation of any of these
rules will mean forfeiture of the right of a coach to manage his/her team.
2.6. Only the coach and his/her players will be allowed to stay in the area provided for
them by the tournament manager.
2.7. In the event of any question or any matter arising out of any point, which is not
expressly provided for in any rules of the game, the decision of the Official Referee
shall be final.
4.1. The Regu which serves first shall serve three consecutive times, followed by the
opposing Regu which shall also serve three consecutive times.
4.2. Players of the serving regu will alternate as Tekong (Server) each time a service is
made.
4.3. Service shall alternate thereafter every three points, regardless of which side wins
the point.
4.4. The motion of the “Rolling Ball” is counted as one count when the ball touches any
part of the body from below the neck and roll to the other approved part of the
body and vice versa unintentionally.
4.5. At deuce (when both sides reaches 20-20), the service shall alternate at every point
made.
4.6. Players shall change sides before the start of each set.
4.7. During the third set, the teams shall change sides when one Regu reaches 11 points
4.8. Once the Referee calls “POINT, (Name of Team)”, the Tekong of the serving team
has fifteen seconds to be ready for the next service with his foot behind the baseline.
If this action is delayed, a warning shall be given. A repetition of this act shall be
considered a Fault.
4.9. Wiping of sweat, adjusting of attire and other related actions shall be done within
the period of fifteen seconds.
V. WEARING OF UNIFORMS.
5.1. Participating teams should wear the color of their respective team assigned to them
during their scheduled games.
5.2. Players not wearing their proper uniforms during which their team or regu is
scheduled to play will not be allowed to play.
5.3. Player must wear their jersey uniform with permanent number at the back of their
shirt and small in front numbering 1 to 12.
