The perimeter of a sector of a circle of radius 5.2 cm is 16.4 cm. Find the area of the sector.

28. In a painting competition of a school a child made a rectangular flag whose perimeter was 50 cm. Its
area will be decreased by 6 square cm, if length is decreased by 3 cm and breadth is increased by
2 cm, find the dimensions of the flag.
OR
Places A and B are 80 km apart from each other on a highway. A car starts from A and another from
B at the same time. If they move in same direction they meet in 8 hours and if they move towards each
other they meet in 1 hour 20 minutes. Find the speed of cars.

31. A box contains cards, numbered from 1 to 90. A card is drawn at random from the box. Find the

32. An express train takes 1 hour less than a passenger train to travel 132 km. between Mathura and Agra.
If the average speed of the express train is 11 km/h more than that of the passenger train, find the
average speed of the two trains.

34. A Juice seller was serving his customers using glasses. The inner diameter of the cylindrical glass was

its actual capacity. ( use 𝜋 = 3.14)

A medicine capsule is in the shape of a cylinder with two hemispheres stuck to each of ends. The
length of the entire capsule is 14 mm and the diameter of the capsule is 5 mm. Find its surface area.
35. If the median of the following frequency distribution is 32.5. Find the value of f1 and f2.

36. In a school, students thought of planting trees in and around the school to reduce air pollution. It was
decided that the number of trees, that each section of each class will plant, will be the same as the
class, in which they are studying, e.g., a section of class I will plant 1 tree, a section of class II will
plant 2 trees and so on till class XII. There are three sections of each class.

On the basis of above information answer the following questions.
i) Find the number of trees planted by class IV and VIII (1)
ii) Write the A.P associated to above situation (1)
iii) How many trees are planted by students of the school?
OR
How many trees planted by students up to class VIII (2)
37. Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of a M2K Society in Azadpur have put up three electric poles
A , B and C in society’s common park near Tower . Despite these three poles some part of the park are
still in dark. So, RWA decides to have one more electric pole D in the park

On the basis of above information, answer the following questions


i) What is the distance of the pole B from the corner O of the park? (1)
ii) Find the distance between the poles A and C. (1)
iii) Find the position of the fourth pole D so that four points A, B, C and D form a parallelogram.

Find the distance between the poles B and D if ABCD forms a parallelogram. (2)

38. A TV tower stands vertically on a bank of canal. From a point on the other bank of the canal the angle
of elevation of top of the tower is 600 and from a point 20 m away from this point on the same bank
the angle of elevation of the top of the tower is 300

i) Find the width of the canal. (1)


ii) Find the height of tower. (1)
iii) Find the distance between top of tower and point C
OR
Find the distance between top of the tower and point D. (2)
