1. Requisite Functionalities

Following requisite functionalities of Machine Gun are desired:

a. Single barrel rapid-fire machine gun suitable for rotary-wing aircraft applications
providing defensive firepower ranging out to nearly 2000 meters.

b. The system should consist of Machine Gun, the Medium Pintle Head (MPH) and the
Cradle, which is used to integrate the weapon on Sea King helicopter.

c. The weapon system may have compatibility with Night Vision Device (NVD) for
targeting, pointing and illuminating laser systems.

d. Operating independent of either electrical or hydraulic power sources from the


helicopter.

e. Soft mount system to enhance weapon accuracy and minimizes the firing vibration
transmitted to the airframe.
