c) What are the disadvantages of visual communication?


Ans:
 Visual communication cannot be used for detailed information
 All information cannot be communicated visually, such as policy, rules, etc.

d) What are the components of a communication cycle?


Ans: The communication cycle includes eight key components.

 encoding,
 medium of transmission,

 feedback.
e) Define feedback
Ans: For effective communication, it is important that the sender receives an acknowledgement from
the receiver that he/she has understood the message in the same terms as intended by the speaker. It
can be both verbal and non-verbal.

Ans: Descriptive feedback is specific information, in the form of written comments or verbal
conversations, that help the learner understand what she or he needs to do in order to improve.

to communicate a message or provide information to the receiver. Hence, selecting the right medium is
important to convey the message effectively. If the receiver of the information is not able to
understand your message, then the communication process fails totally. It is truly said that medium
makes the message. We need to know to whom we want to convey the message so that we can select
the right medium for effective communication.
