Mechanics for Quiz Bee

General Rules:
1. The contest is open to all Nursing students in National University – Manila Campus.
2. All participants are expected to attend the event and must arrive 15 minutes before the
start of the event. If the participant(s) does not check in at that time, they will not be
allowed to participate in the contest.
3. All participants will answer the same set of questions in writing. Before the question is
read, the participants must raise their markers.
4. There will be three (3) components in the competition namely: Easy Round, Average
Round, and Difficult Round.
5. Each participant must write their final answer to the board provided by the committee.
6. The participants must bring their own whiteboard marker and rag.
7. The questions shall be read twice. Afterward, the quiz master will say ‘GO’, only then the
contestants may start writing their answers on the board provided, and at the same time,
start the countdown timer. All participants should raise their pens and show their final
answers after the time allotted for the specified questions.
8. Each question shall be given a predetermined number of points corresponding to its
round. For the easy round, 1 point, for the average round, 2 points and for the difficult
round; 3 points.
9. The easy questions should be answered within 20 seconds. For the average round, each
question should be answered in under 30 seconds and for the difficult round, participants
must answer the questions in under 1 minute.
10. Should a tie exist, the match shall go into a Tie Breaker Round. The contestant first to
answer two (2) questions correctly shall be declared as the winner.
11. Questions and clarifications shall be entertained by the committee before the start of the
competition.

There will only be 1 winner.


All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and the winner will receive 500
pesos.
