1. In your own understanding what is Agriculture, give its importance (10 pts)
Agriculture is the world's most important source of food. All necessary food
substances, such as vitamins, minerals, and amino acids Agriculture is
responsible for the production of vegetables, proteins, and oils. Carbohydrates
supply energy to all living things. Agriculture is a "secondary employment"
industry that employs the entire family. To make money, the husband, wife,
and children all labor on the farm. This is critical during the national financial
crisis, as the government will never be able to offer jobs and a source of
income for millions of people. It is significant to humans since it is both a
source of energy and a source of food. Because without food, we may or may
not be able to operate adequately in our everyday lives or activities.
2. Cite a value of agriculture , without agriculture it can create serious national
problem. Explain (10 pts)
Agriculture is taken for granted by many people. They think it's a stale and
uninteresting way of life that also doesn't pay well. True, we don't give our
farmers enough credit or compensate them adequately for their labor. This is
terrible, because we wouldn't have the contemporary conveniences we have
today if it weren't for agriculture. Cities would not have been able to exist
without agriculture. The greater the number of fields available to maintain a
city, the more likely it is to prosper. Agriculture boosted trade by creating a
surplus that could be exchanged for goods from other sectors. Our relationship
with food requires a complete revamp. We must aggressively teach everyone,
not just children, about how our food is grown and how it gets from farm to
market, grocery, restaurant, or kitchen. There aren't enough people who can
envision the genuine potential of food insecurity occurs when a sufficient
number of people are afraid to try to prevent it. It's straightforward. Cities,
even those with urban farms, would starve if farmers were not present.
3. In your own point of view, what are the roles of livestock and poultry
to the social, economic and environmental aspects of the country. Justify
your answer. (10 pts.)
Livestock as a source of production inputs for agricultural development
that is sustainable. Farmers can not only limit risks by producing a variety of
commodities in mixed-farming systems, but they can also boost crop and
animal productivity in a more profitable and sustainable way. Livestock species
are critical to the well-being of rural households, including food supply, sources
of income, asset safety, sources of employment, soil fertility, livelihoods,
transportation, agricultural traction, agricultural diversification and
sustainability. It plays an economic and socio-cultural role. Agricultural
production. The purpose of this work was to identify and characterize the
various roles that livestock species play in the rural areas of east timor.
Particular attention was paid to socio-cultural functions. A 2011 survey of three
rural communities in the bobonaro area served as the primary data for this
survey, and numerous surveys of livestock species in east timor were used as
