ABSTRACT

This study concentrated on the academic hurdles and difficulties that

students faced when engaging in online learning. The researchers are

conducting this study to determine the coping strategies of the students during

the “new normal” education. Despite the fact that numerous research has

looked into this topic, there is a scarcity of knowledge about the obstacles

students face and the strategies they use to overcome them. As a result, the

purpose of this study is to fill in the gaps.

Furthermore, this study used a quantitative research methodology with

a survey questionnaire approach created by the researchers and validated for

content validity by professionals. The participants in this study are third-year

students from Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at North

Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) - Cantilan Campus S.Y. 2022 -

2023.

Findings revealed that respondents had less problems when it came to

online learning, leading to the conclusion that students were still interested in

acquiring education despite the "new normal" environment.
