2nd UBIAN CONFERENCE 2023: Theme: Revitalizing Business and

Tourism in the VUCA World through Research and Innovations

Business is an integral part of the world’s economy, especially in a developing country like the

Philippines. This is a one key source that the country use in order to maintain and sustain the needs and

wants of their citizens. Without business, there is no cash flow in the country and knowing that the world

revolves around capitalism, the Philippine citizens will never survive without the help of empowering the

businesses. Moreover, there is another industry that also helps to make the country develop its good

economy, and that would be the tourism. The tourism industry is the number one source of revenue in the

Philippines because of the number of tourists that goes in and out of the country for many good reasons.

Now, the country is taking a good step for more research and innovations with hopes to increase the

economic system for the people.

There is a seminar hosted by University of Batangas that invited all of the professionals,

enthusiasts, researchers, industry practitioners, faculty staff, and the students for participating the 2nd

UBIAN Conference: Unifying Borders Internationally through Annual Network Conference 2023. Not only

that they will learn about research and innovation of business and tourism, they will also get the chance to

present their scientific papers orally. With this, many researchers are going to gather in one place to share

knowledge with a goal in mind of revitalizing the Philippines. Furthermore, this international research

conference is going to be perfect as a good start to empower the Filipino researchers in the country too.

The best of all here is the fact that students get to chance on meeting professional researchers to inspire

them at what they are doing.


In conclusion, this conference is one of the best ways to take an initiative on helping the Philippine

economy to grow. It is true that the country has a poor support with its research and innovations currently,

but the hope is never going to end as long as there are youth that can pursue the dreams of the old

generations. With that being said, this 2nd UBIAN CONFERENCE 2023 is one of the best seminars to

reawaken our country people’s motivation to help our motherland.
