1. Practice the electrical engineering profession taking into consideration safety, health, environmental concerns and the public welfare through adherence to required codes
and laws.
2. Engage in life-long learning, such as graduate work and other professional education.
3. Assume professional leadership roles in the field of Electrical Engineering and other activities.
4. Have the competencies to support “national, regional and local development plans.”

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION : The course covers the principles of management, theory and practice, various approaches to decision making, managing production
and services operations; and project management and introduction to safety practices of civil engineers. Emphasis is also given on the managerial function of planning,
organizing, staffing, leading and controlling.

III. COURSE OUTCOMES


CO1: Establish a firm understanding of functions of engineering management as applied to civil engineering practices;
CO2: Achieve familiarity of the nature of planning, organizing, directing and controlling;
CO3: Develop a full understanding and appreciation of the importance and value of safety and health hazards;

Grading System
Minimum passing score is 70%. The final grade is computed by multiplying the tentative grade by 2 plus the midterm grade, divided by 3. The highest grade is 1.00 and the lowest passing
grade is 3.00. Failure to comply with one of the above criteria, the student gets a grade of 5.00 or incomplete.
Examination:
The student is responsible for all the lessons covered in class as well as all examinations (quiz or term examination). No make-up or special examination will be given except for those with
valid reason such as sickness. A medical certificate or similar document will be required before a student is given a special examination.

This syllabus provides pertinent information about class policies and expectations. You are responsible for reading it, understanding it, and following it.
You must have your own computer/android phone and internet access to take this course. (not a friend or the library, etc. remember “ bawal kayong lumabas, mag-comply ka muna”).
Logging on to our FB group page/Google classroom/Schoology etc. will serve as your attendance to this class. You are expected to check our group page a minimum of every other day.
Understand that failing to do so may cause you to miss pertinent course information/assignments.
