Why is most EDI traffic still exchanged through
a VAN?

BOOMI IS NOT A VAN.

Boomi does not offer the services associated with a VAN.

To Boomi, a VAN is simply a

communications pathway.
Do you need to use a VAN?
No you EDI does not have to be sent via a VAN, it can be sent
using Boomis native connectors e.g. AS2, FTP, SFTP. Also that
EDI can also be used with other features of Dell Boomi such API’s
and emails etc
