Dell Boomi is a cloud-based integration platform that allows users to build and deploy integration processes using a visual interface. It was originally founded in 2000 and focuses on cloud integration, API management, and master data management. Dell acquired Boomi in 2010. Boomi uses an API-first architecture and processes to connect disparate applications and data sources through a series of shapes representing the workflow. Processes retrieve data from sources, perform actions on it, and send it to destinations. Pricing scales based on the number of endpoints connected.

Mr. Mariyan Richard Rakshith O Asst.professor 1NT21MC076 Dept of MCA Dept of MCA INTRODUCTION TO DELLBOOMI • Boomi was founded in 2000, beginning with "configuration-based" integration. Boomi introduced Technology which allows users to build and deploy integration processes using a visual interface and a drag and drop technique . This interface remains one of the key elements of the current Boomi platform. • Dell Boomiis a business unit acquired by Dell in 2010 that specializes incloud based integration API management and Master Data Management Boomi was founded in Berwyn, Pennsylvaniaand first launched its services in 2007 • In 2007 BOOMI released the technology now known as "Atom Sphere," an Integration Cloud. Atom Sphere kept the visual, point and click interface for building integrations and can be managed through a browser-based UI. • On November 2, 2010, Boomi announced its acquisition by Dell • University of Technology Sydney selected Dell Boomi as its integration-platform-as-a-service solution. DELL BOOMI ARCHITECTURE • Build applications faster • Extend the functionality of existing applications • Connect and unify disparate applications o One of the most important components of a low-code development platform is its architecture. o Boomi Flow uses an API-first architecture, which increases flexibility for replacing, improving and extending application services. Its user interface and tools are built as layers on top of the platform and interact with the platform through APIs. PROCESS • Processes are the central components in Boomi Integration. They contain the series of shapes that determine how data is executed within the system. A process typically represents a discrete workflow that moves a given type of record from one application to another. • Use an inbound connector to retrieve data from one source. The source can be an on-premise or web application, or a data source such as disk, mail, HTTP, FTP, SFTP, or database. • Perform various actions on that data by using execute shapes, logic shapes, maps, and map functions. • Use an outbound connector to send data to one or more destinations. The destination(s) can be an application or a data source such as disk, mail, HTTP, FTP, SFTP, or database. DESIGN CONCLUSION • Boomis price scales with the number of end- points you want to connect. • Boomi comes is sold in five separate tiers; starting with 2 end-points all the way up to 15. THANK YOU
