Task 3 – Spreadsheet
The garage is planning to send advertising leaflets to every house in the region. The region
comprises six areas. You are going to prepare a spreadsheet to calculate how much it would
cost. This spreadsheet will be used to model the costs depending upon the supplier chosen.
Save this file as a spreadsheet with the file name P3Leaflet _ and your Class, Div & Roll
No. For example, P3Leaflet_9A01
On the centre in the footer, add the automated file name and path. [2]

Paste a screenshot of how you named the cell in your Evidence document.
5. In cell C16 enter a function to lookup the corresponding fixed fee for the chosen supplier

6. In cell D16 enter a formula that will display the rate charged for each delivery for
the chosen supplier selected. This formula will look up the chosen supplier in the supplier
table and choose the correct rate, depending on the number of properties for that area
and return the corresponding rate from the supplier table.
• If the no of properties is greater than 20000, Rate 3 values from the supplier table
will be applied
• If the no of properties is greater than 2000, Rate 2 values from the supplier table
will be applied
• For all other property values, Rate 1 values from the supplier table will be applied.
[8]
7. In cell E16 enter a formula that will display the cost of the deliveries. This formula will
multiply the number of properties by the rate. [1]
8. In cell F16 enter a formula that will display the total cost for this area. This formula will
add the fixed fee to the delivery charge. [1]
10. In cell B22 enter a function to calculate the total number of properties in the region.
In cell F22 enter a formula that will display the total cost of the deliveries to all of the
areas. [1]
11. Format only the cells in the Fixed fee, Total cost and Delivery columns, to currency in
pounds (sterling) with 2 decimal places.
12. Save & Print the spreadsheet showing the formulae used. Make sure:

° only rows 1-24 are visible
° the contents of these cells and formulas are fully visible and fit on 3 page wide
by 1 page high. [2]
Make sure that you have entered your name, Class, Division & Roll No on your
spreadsheet showing the formulae.
