1 Study Document 1.

Child labor unions in Latin American countries are trying to achieve improvements for their
members.

Explain three different improvements as given by the author of Document 1. [6]

2 Study Document 1.

Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence that the author gives in Document 1 to
support the claims made about child labor. [12]

3 Study Documents 1 and 2.

The authors of Documents 1 and 2 suggest different solutions to the problem of children in work.

How far is the author’s argument in Document 2 more convincing than that of the author in
Document 1? [12]
