Quizpet1 PLC Radaza

This document contains a quiz on electronic systems and PLC design. It has two parts - a multiple choice section testing knowledge of PLC components and logic (10 questions) and a section requiring the student to design a ladder logic program for a lighting control system using four switches as inputs and a light as the output (50%). The student is provided the I/O addressing for the switches and light and must draw the ladder diagram, simulate it using Multisim, and attach the diagram. Answers to the multiple choice are included at the end.

TEST II. PLC ladder logic programming: Lighting Control System. (50%)

The PLC system will be controlled by four switches S1, S2, S3, and S4. These switches will control the
lighting in a room based on this following criteria:

1. Any of three of these switches (S1, S2, and S3) can turn ON or OFF the lighting.
2. The fourth switch S4 is a Master Control Switch. If the switch (S4) is ON the light is OFF, and
none of the other switches (S1, S2, and S3) have any control.

Requirement:

1. Design the combinational logic using Logisim app.

2. Draw the Ladder diagram of the Lighting Control System (Multisim).
