Course Credits 3 units
Course Description This course gives the students training in investigative report writing including the structure and format of making reports and feasibility studies. It covers
fundamentals and styles of report writing, form and contents of police reports, including simple legal forms, manner of handling police forms; technique
sequences of blotter entries; preparation of arrest and crime reports.

Course Outcomes At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

Course Requirements WRITING SAMPLE OF EACH REPORTS DISCUSSED
Grading System The minimum requirement for a passing grade is 75 % as reflected in the grading system of the institution composed of the following:
Quizzes 30%
Class Standing 30%
Major Examination 40%
Total 100%

Prelim Midterm Finals


30%+30%+40%= PRELIM GRADE (CMG*2+PG)/3= MIDTERM GRADE (CFG*2+MG)/3=FINAL GRADE
Classroom Policies 1. Expectations from Student/s
All students must come to school prepared (attend class and participate actively, take all examinations on the date schedules)
2. Academic Dishonesty.
Cheating, lying and other forms of unethical behavior will not be tolerated. Turn on original ouputs as required.
Fair use guidelines in using multimedia materials should be considered everytime online resources are utilized.
3. Attendance, tardiness and absenteeism
 Minimum of 80% attendance of the total contact hours in the subject is required (checking is done every meeting)
 Tardiness of 15 minutes is equivalent to one hour period of absence.
 A minimum of 3 consecutive absences without justifiable reasons requires a promissory note from the college guidance coordinator
 6 consecutive absences in the class means “DROP” in the subject
MWF-6 absences and Tth-4 absences
 Failure to take the prelim exam preceded by absences means “DROP” in the subject.
