General Precaution on Electric Safety

Warning

Before operate this equipment, please check out followings;

- Be sure that power supply line is appropriate to use.


(Power Input: 100 - 240V AC).

- Be sure that the entire connection cable of the system is properly and firmly fixed.

Note

Note: The equipment should not be placed in the vicinity of electric generator, X-ray,
broadcasting apparatus to eliminate the electric noise during operation. Otherwise, it
may cause incorrect result.
Self-power line is important for MV2000. To use the same power source with other
electric instruments may cause incorrect result.

Warning

If MV2000 doesn’t operate normally or is damaged, please don’t use it to patient but
contact your hospital engineer or your local representative.

Equipment Connection

Caution

Doctors and nurses can be disposed the danger of uncontrolled electricity. This
mentioned electricity can be made due to the electrical discrepancy between
MV2000 and other electricity-conductable objects. In order to solve this problem, all
configurations of other related equipment shall comply with the system standard
EN 60601-1.

Maintenance and Cleaning


MV2000 can be kept cleaning in many different ways. Use the following recommendations
to avoid the damage or stain of the machine.

1) If the material (not approved material) that may cause damage to the product, the
product will not be guaranteed even within warranty period.

2) Please, Check the main equipment and sensor carefully after its cleaning.
If it is damaged or old, do not use it.

3) Clean the outside of equipment with clothes soaked warm water or alcohol
once a month at least.

4) Do not use spray, thinner, ethylene or oxidizer.

5) Do not soak the machine or the probes into any liquid or detergent. Keep the
machine or the probes away from any liquid.
Also, don’t get wet any part of equipment nor accessories by water or any detergent.

Caution
Do not leave or throw away disposable sensor in the place caused damage.
Be careful environment pollution.

Caution
Only the engineer from MEKICS or authorized maintenance service engineer can
disassemble the product to chance Battery. If not, we can not grantee warranty
service.

Do not use MV2000 for 2 patients at the same time.

power would be on.

for longer than 2 sec.

A. LED Indicators

AC POWER ON LED : LED is on when machine is connected



to AC, otherwise, LED is OFF.

BATTERY ON LED : Battery is charged as the machine is


working when it is connected AC If it is not, battery ON LED
ⓠ — ┼ is lighted because the machine is operating by internal
battery. If both AC POWER ON LED and BATTERY ON LED
are OFF, battery should be charged.

EXT.
EXT. BATT : LED is on when the machine is connected to

4. POWER ON

ⓐ INLET FUSE

Warning
Prior to applying AC or DC to the ventilator, the line frequency has to be
adjusted to the local standard otherwise it might causes damages to the
apparatus.
Power Cord has to be plugged in to the concentric plug on the ground.
Replace covered wire in case of wear and tear.
Please apply the ground cable in order to protect the patient and the apparatus.
Maintain the same level of input & output voltage.

It displays battery capability. This is displayed on the upper right hand corner of the LCD display.
The battery capacity will be displayed in 5 main status.

C . Function Description

 DRIVER B/ D is consisted of POWER Connection part, Sol Valve Connection part


(SV1, SV2, SV3, SV4, PV1, LS1), Pneumatic Connection part (POWER ON/ OFF &

Because POWER B/ D Connection part supplies DC voltage to DRIVER B/ D and

C . Function Description

 The first and the second of Power Board are insulated by Transformer.
Also, EMI and Noise it is to do filtering EMI/ NOISE FILTER Part and there is Power
supply part, Battery Charge part to supply DC voltage to the second.
In case it is System Fail part who go Heater Curcuit part to run Heater beside him,
and produce System FAIL is Beep sound and power of product does not become
supply normally, Beep sound happens.

To separate rear
cover, please
disconnect the wire

① Each B/ D(POWER, DRIVER, Pneumatic, DSC, Sensor) was linked uprightly.
② Supply AC power (220V/ 60Hz) to POWER B/ D.
③ Voltage (error range : ± 2V) of +15V inputed to DRIVER Board. (TEST Point : TP1)
④ Voltage of +24V are displayed to TEST POINT(TP2). (error range:±1V)
⑤ Voltage of +5V are displayed to TEST POINT(TP3). (error range:±0.5V)
⑥ Voltage of +5V are displayed to C34. (error range:±0.5V)
This time, C34's measurement does in ( +) terminal.
※ Measurement uses digital multi- meter(DMM) that recognize in MEK. With upside( ① ~

(2) Product inspection method

- Complete voltage control. Do program download through Pneumatic Board's RS- 232 Port.
Must do inspection such as lower part. (Use Up- Load Cable that offer in MEK)

1) Sol Valve on/off TEST

① Execute after DSC PROGRAM establishment.


- DSC.EXE (Practice file)
② Connect communication JIG to COM1 port of computer
(Supply Air, and product power to do on)

③ Select COM1( ) in upside Port establishment part and ( )

press on.
This time, if press PWR ON, Flow wave and Pressure Wave appear on left side screen.

④ First, execute , and press .

(Upside Setting becomes , and practice after about 10 seconds )

⑤ Confirm that is marked as "0.0" to below Window.

⑥ Inspect Valve's(SV1, SV2, SV3, SV4) on/ off action. (After execute : ①~⑤)
Solenoid Valve “ON”: “1”, Solenoid Valve “OFF” : “0”

⑦ Each Valve(SV1, SV2, SV3, SV4) does on/ off TEST.

2) PV1 Adjustment

① Input PWM value to ⓐ. This time, PWM value confirms input value by Pneumatic
Software Version. (ex. Ver0.80의 PWM value : 3603 [It is 10L/ m] )

② ⓑ To whether is displayed by 10L/ m confirm.


If there is error, control DRIVER Board's VR1(Volume Resistor) by 10L/ m.

③ Process of ①~② 3th repeatedly velocity of flow(L/m) confirm.

※ 10L/ m ( + within 1) of inhalation of air velocity of flow is kept to become.


3) LS1 Adjustment

① LS1 adjustment executes after PV1 TEST completion.


② Input 10cmH2O value to ⓒ. This time, 10cmH2O value confirms input value by
Pneumatic Software Version. (ex. Ver0.80 의 PWM value : 1416 [ It is 10cmH2O] )

③ ⓓ To whether is displayed by 10cmH2O confirm.


If there is error, control DRIVER Board's VR2(Volume Resistor) by 10cmH2O.
