The following is the survey questionnaire crafted by the researcher to

gather valuable data. Your honest response and full cooperation is much

appreciated and is a great help for our research entitled AUTOMATIC TRASH

BIN SEGREGATOR BACK UP BY 12V BATTERY IN CTU TUBURAN

CAMPUS. The data obtained will be analyzed and interpreted in order to help

the researchers to come up a precise conclusion and to finalize the said study.

Part 1. Problems Encountered of USING NORMAL TRASH BIN

Instruction: Given the following problems encountered of non-using an

Automatic trash bin, the problems encountered with Five (5) is the highest and

One (1) is the lowest.


Problems Encountered Rank

Difficulties and laziness in segregating the trash properly .

Time consuming especially during segregation the waste.

Habitual way of throwing garbage without proper segregation.

Poor waste management due to overflowing of garbage.

Garbage bin are poorly constructed .

Instruction: Please put a tick/check the numerical value which represents your

response to each item. Each item corresponds to numerical scales, which in turn

have qualitative equivalents with the following verbal descriptions.

1. The product provides an Arduino Uno to manage all
parts .
2. The product provides a ultrasonic sensor to detect a
non metallic waste.
3. In an emergency, such as a blackout or other
difficulty, the product offers AC and DC power supply.
4. The product provides a SMS 800 to check the
amount of waste and give information to the owner
(texted messages).
5. The product provides a mini wheel to move easily in
different area.

2. The 12 volts battery back up can last up to 24 hours.


3. The product can avoid overflowing of waste because
it has a SMS dustbin checker.
4. Due to the product's wheels, it can be moved and
transferred from any location and is not too heavy.
5. The product is comfortable to use because it is
manipulated automatically.

1. The product has less voltage (12v below) to avoid
electric shock due to the discharge pf electricity.
2. The product has transfer switch to avoid voltage
overloading (separating the voltage of DC and AC),
3. The outer parts of the product is safe ad secure to
avoid garbage leaking disposal.
4. The power supply is covered well.
5. Due to the product's wheels, it can be moved and
transferred from any location and is not too heavy.
