Title: BASIC/BLOCK PATTERN OF BLOUSE

Performance Objective: Given the different materials, tools, and equipment you should
be able to draft basic pattern of blouse(back and front),sleeve and
collar and follow the steps or procedures within 2 hours.
Tools:
 L-square
 Hip curve/curve ruler
 Pencil
 Tape measures
 Pins
 Dressmaker’s Shears
MATERIALS:
 Drafting paper/ Tracing paper
 Tailor’s chalk
 Fabric

Equipment: Cutting Table


BACK PATTERN:
1. A fundamental line/ right angle line
2. A-B measure 7cm horizontal
3. A-C measure 7cm downward
4. A-D measure 2cm downward
5. A-E 1/2 measurement of shoulder
6. A-F measure 9 inches downward for bustline
7. A-G measure the figure downward ( shoulder to waist)
8. A-H blouse length and add 1 inch allowance
9. F-I 1/2 measurement of shoulder
10. F-J 1/4 measurement of bust and add 1/2 inch
11. G-K 1/4 measurement of waistline add 1/2 inch for
allowance (L)
12. L-M measure 3cm for dart allowance
13. M-N measure 7inches downward for hip line
14. H-O 1/4 measurement of hip
15. F-P, G-Q, H-R measure the bust distance
16. Q-S measure 1 1/2 centimeter (cm) for dart width
17. Q-T measure 5 inches downward for dart height
18. E-U measure 3cm downward for shoulder line
19. E-V measure 11cm downward and measure 0.5 cm backward
20. A-X measure downward for bust height (for front dart height)
CONNECT
1. B-D connect using of French curve for back neckline
2. B-C connect using of French curve for front neckline
3. B-U connect using of l-square for shoulder line
4. E-V connect using of ruler/ l-square
5. J-V connect using of frencg curve for armhole
6. J-M-O connect using of hip curve
7. P-Q-T-R connect using of l-square for dart line
8. P-S-T connect with diagonal line / slanting line for
dart width
CUT
1. D-B-U-J-M-O-H-D for Final pattern.
FRONT PATTERN:( using of back pattern)

TRANSFER
1. Transfer the shoulder line
2. Neckline for front
3. Side seam
4. Dart (dart height A-X)
5. Front seam add 3cm forward for allowance
6. C-A add 4.5 centimeter (cm) for allowance
7. H-B add 1 inch allowance
8. J-C1 add 1/2 inch for bust allowance
9. C1-M connect using of hip curve
CUT
Cut A-B-U-C-M-O-B-A
BASIC/BLOCK PATTERN OF SLEEVE
1. A FUNDAMENTAL LINE
2. A-B SLEEVE LENGTH
3. B-C measure 1 1/2 inches downward for allowance
4. A-D measure 12cm downward
5. B-E 1/2 measurement of sleeve width/bicep
6. A-F 1/2 measurement of armhole(measure diagonally)
7. G is the midpoint of A-F
8. H is a midpoint of G-A
9. I- is a midpoint of F-G
10. H measure 1/2 inch upward
11. I measure 1/2 downward
12. Connect A-H-G-I-F with concave and convex line using of french curve
13. Connect F-E using of ruler/l-square
14. Cut the A-H-G-I-F-E-C-B-
BASIC/BLOCK PATTERN OF COLLAR
1. A fundamental line
2. A-B measure 7cm downward
3. A-C, B-D 1/2 measurement of neck hole
4. C-E add 1/2 inch forward
5. D-F measure 2cm upward
6. Connect E-F
Cut A-E-D-B (For final pattern)
