OBJECTIVE
 

The objectives of the system are-

▪ To reduce paperwork.
▪ Reduced operational time.
▪ Increased accuracy and reliability.
▪ Increased operational efficiency.
▪ Data security.
This website package can be readily used by non-programming personal
avoiding human handled chance of error. This project is used by two types of
users

1. User.
2. Salon Administrator.
User can view the salon rooms, tariffs, room availability, booking details etc.

Salon Administrator can maintain updates in details and print reports


according to need. Administrator is must be an authorized user.

Application can be upgraded according to user’s and administrator’s


requirements with little changes.

New features can be added as per requirements.


 
MODIFICATION AND IMPROVEMENT OVER THE
EXISTING IMPLEMENTATION

 Present State:
▪ No Software present at all.
▪ Time consumed in accessing the records of the visitors and customers.
▪ Manual creation of lists of occupied rooms and customers.
▪ Customers are informed by sending mail to them manually.
▪ Headache of receptionist is more to manage the information of
customers manually.
▪ More time taken to registration of customers on registration forms.

After implementation of project:


▪ Easy to use GUI.
▪ Customers can register online no rush for appointment in Salon.
▪ Respective booked customers can get informed by email automatically.
▪ List of customers bookings in salon can be made on single click.
▪ Report of customers according to need of salon administrator can be
generated easily.
▪ Burden of Administrator decreases.
SCOPE 

This project has a large scope as it has the following features which help in
making it easy to use, understand and modify it:

▪ Automation of booking Procedure


▪ No Need to do Paper Work.
▪ To save the environment by using paper free work.
▪ To increase the accuracy and efficiency of the booking procedure.
▪ Management of customer Data.
 

This software package can be readily used by non-programming personal

▪ Simplified Management of Customer Profiles.


▪ Online Reservation.
▪ Appointment Notification.
▪ Offers Information Publishing through system alerts.
 
SIGNIFICANCE OF  PROJECT
 

The significance of the project is to provide the following benefits:

▪ The significance of project is to automate the appointment process of


the salon.
▪  There is no worry of checking the appointment time to time.
▪ Users get emails for updates related to appointment and services for
which they are demanded.
▪ Administrator can also create lists on the basis of requirement of
customers, there is no need to do it manually.
▪ Booking reports i.e. User wise report, Address wise report & Package
wise report etc.

▪ MSSQL: Microsoft SQL Server is a relational database management


system developed by Microsoft. As a database, it is a software product
whose primary function is to store and retrieve data as requested by
other software applications, be it those on the same computer or those
running on another computer across a network (including the Internet).
There are at least a dozen different editions of Microsoft SQL Server
aimed at different audiences and for different workloads (ranging from
small applications that store and retrieve data on the same computer, to
millions of users and computers that access huge amounts of data from
the Internet at the same time).
 

Technology:
▪ ASP.Net : ASP.NET is a Web application framework developed and
marketed by Microsoft to allow programmers to build dynamic Web
sites, Web applications and Web services. It was first released in
January 2002 with version 1.0 of the .NET Framework, and is the
successor to Microsoft’s Active Server Pages (ASP) technology.
ASP.NET is built on the Common Language Runtime (CLR), allowing
programmers to write ASP.NET code using any supported .NET
language.

▪ C#.Net: C#.Net is a programming language developed by Microsoft.

▪ SQL: SQL is a structured query language used for querying


Database.

▪ HTML: It is used for giving eye catching look to the website. And also
providing easy to use GUI.

▪ CSS: CSS is cascading style sheet which is used to give designer


look to HTML using the external file.

▪ Java script: Java script is used for client side scripting which can
help in using validation on the website and many more
other functions.
