Xi Salt Analysis em

1. This document outlines a systematic procedure to analyze an unknown salt sample. It involves observing the salt's physical properties, testing its reactions to heat, acids, bases, and other reagents. 2. The observations and inferences from each test help identify the anions (carbonate, nitrate, chloride) and cations (calcium, copper, iron) present in the salt. 3. Further tests on the salt's sodium carbonate extract can confirm the presence of anions like sulfate, phosphate, and nitrate. Group separation tests help identify cation groups like ammonium, lead, copper, aluminum, and iron.
